This is the best studio ever. I never thought that I would be able to keep up with all the new forms and combination. But the instructors are always positive and very helpful. And as to say who is my favorite I think it would be all of them. It's nice to see that Master Kim is training the young ones to continue on his traditions with the studio.

It's hard to imagine a better martial arts school for kids or adults. My two boys attend, and have loved it from day one. The teachers are uniformly wonderful...just the right balance of tough and tender, stern and funny. They are demanding of the kids without ever overdoing it. They teach strength and skill and speed, but never without an emphasis on respect and responsibility and compassion. What a place!

The quality of the teaching is excellent. It is a very serious and professional studio. At the same time, the approach is very personal making the learning process adequate to your own specific needs. Yong Studios is the best place to learn martial arts that I have never experienced.

Yong Studios has great instructors who create a positive learning environment for both people new to or familiar with martial arts. The best instructor there is Mr. K. He is the coolest and most awesome of all the instructors.

Martial arts should be about more than moves and kicks. At Yong Studios, all the instructors are committed to the philosophy as well, teaching kids about self-control, respect and honesty. And the kids have lots of fun too!

Rare is the instructor who inspires simply by his presence, let alone his example. Yong Studios is blessed with two such gifted instructors, and the most dedicated group of students I could ever ask to learn with.

They are the most kid focused studio in the DC area. They not only teach martial arts but give the kids a sense of personal worth, well being and confidence and they instill in the children respect for not only each other but everyone.

Yong Studios is the best, period. Master Kim & his staff are devoted to Martial Arts. The outcome is awesome, why, my 13 year old daughter is a black belt student. She teaches lower belt students on Wednesday. They call her Ms. "P".

The instruction is excellent and personal; each instructor knows every student by name which is impressive in such a large group. Also, the actual lessons are shorter (50 minutes) than many schools, but more intense. There is constant activity and then you can also work out afterwards.

Yong studios provides the right level of support and challenge for children through adults. At the graduation ceremonies, you can see how proud the students are of their achievements. I also happen to think the forms are very beautiful to watch.

I've tried several different martial arts studios and Yong Studios is the best. What makes them the best? Concern and attention to each student, regardless of their level. A warm and welcoming environment combined with excellent teaching. I've studied under higher belts, including a 9th degree Grand Master, but Yong Studios is where I feel like they accept me as I am and will work with me to help me achieve my highest level attainable. I highly recommend it.

My children having been attending Yong Studios for nearly 5 years. I am familiar with several other studios in the area, as well as numerous other athletic programs for children. This studio is unparalleled in its high quality, student-focused approach. The instructors truly know and care about each student. It has an almost community-like feeling to it, rather than just being a money-maker for the owner and teachers. I cannot say enough about Mr. Kim (the owner) -- he is one of the finest teachers of any kind I have ever know.

Yong Studios has excellent instructors and there is the feeling that this is an acutal "school" that cares about your progress as a student, and not just your monthly payment as a customer. I feel that you must actually earn your black belt here, which is not true of many other schools.

My son says it's because the teachers are really good and the whole thing is all out great. I love it because the kids are really focused and working hard, but also having fun. They're learning a skill and no one tells them they're doing great unless they really are - I LOVE that!
