Weschler's has been an auction tradition in the Nation's capital since Adam Weschler opened a gallery just a few blocks from the White House in 1890. The fourth and fifth generations of Weschler family members continue to uphold the principles on which Adam Weschler founded his company -- that the client's interests should remain above all others. To ensure this, Adam Weschler resolved that the company would neither buy nor own any of the items it sold at auction. We maintain this same policy today and act solely as a representative for the buyer or seller.
