Waraji Restaurant is considered by many Triangle residents as having the best and freshest sushi available in the area. This sushi restaurant located near Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh, NC serves japanese entrees as well and is open for lunch and dinner. Waraji is the winner on many best of awards for sushi and japanese cuisine. Chef Masa of Waraji brings an authentic Japanese restaurant to the Triangle. After being voted "Best in the Triangle" in the category of sushi for countless years, Masa decided to branch out on his own and provide the culinary treasures of Japan in a relaxed and intimate environment. Fans of Waraji Japanese Restaurant call the sparsely decorated dining room "minimalist." Detractors call it empty. Both, however, seem to agree that the quality of the sushi at Waraji is unsurpassed and the prices reasonable. Though located in a strip mall near the airport, Waraji somehow attracts well-dressed yuppies who come to feed on traditional Japanese fare. We welcome you to come out and try our sushi dishes and experience our restaurant. Our high quality food and service is top priority and your satisfaction is our only goal. There is a complete sushi menu, including sashimi and specialty rolls. For those who prefer their food cooked, there are numerous noodle soups, combination plates, appetizers and entrees like tempura and teriyaki. Dinner prices, which include soup, salad and rice, are moderately high at $15-$20.
