My Thai was previously named Buddha's Delight, although the owner remains the same (he also owns Buddha's Delight in downtown Boston).
The owner is usually on site, and he really puts his heart and soul into everything. Family members work there too. Service is friendly, quiet, quick. (The kitchen is fast and efficient, so you might ask your server to wait to submit your entree order until you're eating your appetizers.)
We go to My Thai frequently. Every dish is made to order, is consistent from visit to visit, is deliciously flavorful, colorful, hot, fresh, and attractively served -- as near to perfect as any meal can get. Fried things are always done perfectly, never oil-soggy, and they're always a beautiful light golden brown.
My Thai is strictly vegan, but you'd never know it without being told. I'm strictly vegetarian, virtually vegan, but my meat-eating wife and teenager and friends love My Thai too. They require considerable convincing to believe that they aren't eating shrimp, beef, chicken and such dishes.
Appetizers can be meals in themselves (I love the fried things), the soups are incredibly flavorful, with clear, tasty broth (except for My Thai I'm not a soup person). The entrees are big, tasty, and never a soggy mess like you see in many Chinese restaurants. There are a number of delicious fried rices from which to choose. The desserts are mainly big, luscious, rich cakes made without dairy products and with organic sugar. Bring one of their cakes to an event and people will beg for the recipe or ask where you got it.
The menu seems to have about 100 items, with the Thai dishes you'd expect plus at least as many others (simple but often surprisingly creative), all delicious. We usually choose from about 20-25 we've tried so far, and liked or loved every one. People say the bubble tea is delicious, but we've never thought to try it. We eat well, yet typically spend no more than $15 per person plus tip (cash, M/C, Visa), and leave completely satisfied.
