Palate Pleasing Appetizers!

I can still taste the delicious crabcakes, decadent dessert, smooth non-alcoholic spritzer..well, you can tell, I was pleased. However, I do think 1280 is a little pricey, but worth it! I'll be prepared next time I decide to grab a quick bite with just a few bucks(LOL)..thank goodness for my VISA checkcard. A great place to unwind and enjoy the great view of the new and improved High Museum, it's quite picturesque.

A cozy spot for 2

I can't believe Murphy's has been around for over 25 years, amazing. That's a huge compliment, especially in the fickled restaurant business, ...enough already! Brunch at Murphy's is to die for, my specialty... egg white omelet, the food is always freshly prepared. It's the perfect spot for a romantic date for 2 or a secret rendezvous! Save room for scrumptious desserts. The restaurant offers an extensive wine list and an ambiance you won't forget! I guarantee you won't be disappointed, there's also valet parking.

Flavorful, Fresh, Thai cuisine with Flair!

What a wonderfully designed urban spot for Thai cuisine. I finally had the opportunity to see what the fuss is all about....I ordered the Massamun Curry with Chicken and coconut soup with shrimp...excellent! My friend had Samros(3 flavored stir fry ) it was bold and tasty. Great atmosphere...ambiance...definitely a place for a romantic date!

A RARE Groove!

The owners of the Harlem Bar have done it again! In "Rare" Form, Located @544 Piedmont and nestled between 2 restaurants, you might miss RARE if it wasn't for the bright yellow façade. I attended the standing room only Grand Opening, a nice touch Valet Parking….now will that be everyday? The Who's Who of Atlanta was in the HOUSE! Excited to test the new menu..well TAPAS and dessert too… so many to choose from, I decided to try the Peach Cobbler w/brown sugar…just the right amount of crust, not too sweet. My guests waited…and waited and waited for Banana Pudding…oh well, we'll try that next time. The place was packed to capacity, , so of course, Murphy's Law was in full effect. We still enjoyed Midtown newest hot spot, looking forward to my next visit, and maybe I'll try the banana pudding or one of those fancy, creative cocktails..(Yeah, right!)

Coke is the Real Thing!

I've never been to the World of Coke, so I was curious…What's the fuss all about? I was invited to preview the new, and much improved "World of Coca Cola, so I can share my review with you. Don't go looking for the World of Coca Cola at the Underground, it's not there, their new home is next to the Georgia Aquarium. The public Grand Opening is Thurs, May 24 @12. I was excited to see, feel, touch and taste at the new WOC(World of Coca Cola). What an experience! I viewed exhibits capturing milestones in Coca Cola history, looked at many of the other brands in coke's extensive beverage portfolio. There's a Pop Culture Room with an Andy Warhol exhibit, folk art by brand enthusiasts around the world…computerized "make your own pop art kiosks.( I had fun making my very own Pop Art creation and e-mailed to myself) I was fascinated with the Ad theater that features archival TV footage such as the famous "Hilltop" (I'd like to teach the World to Sing). Experience commercials never seen b/4 in the US. I saw the original American Idol couch from the show's famous "Red Room" I was getting a lil' thirsty so I headed to the tasting bar where you can sample drinks(soda, water, juices, teas, and more) from all over the World.(here's a few of my favorite drinks from around the world "Smart Apple from China, Bibo Candy Pine nut from South Africa, Beverly from Italy, Vegitabeta from Japan, Stoney Tangewizi from Tanzania) There's so much to see, oh, I can;'t forget the 4D theatre…magnificient…. Other attractions; Water Garden, "Far Coast" Outdoor Beverage Bar(freshly brewed coffees, teas and infusions from various cultures, Coca Cola store with new and redesigned merchandise, one of a kind art pieces and much more. Grab your family, friends, associates go see, touch, taste the New World of Coca Cola!

Decadent Delicious Divine Desserts!
I can still taste that scrumptuous chocolate ginger cookie that melted away in my mouth... Decadent desserts, elegantly displayed, impressive flavors, a bit of France comes to Atlanta…Located in a sleek mixed-use condo development in the heart of Midtown. My sweet spot: Petunia cake, Brown Sugar Bananas, Nutella Ganache, Hazelnut Mousse, Chocolate Buttermilk Cake…this dessert is at least 4 inches wide, so I saved some of it for later. (well, a few hours later b/4 I devoured it) The café also serves a variety of coffees, teas, pastries, the space is also available for birthday parties, book club meetings, art shows, etc. Another nice perk, the café will validate your parking(8th Street parking ramp) or get some exercise take MARTA. Superb Customer service
