A candy store for travel junkies. Even if you're not into buying travel books, you should definitely swing by Globe to just browse through to get some ideas. It's a really nice store with an easy layout and great staff.
Emma's is my favorite pizza spot in Cambridge. The location isn't ideal, but the super-thin crust with great, fresh ingredients is impossible to beat. Eating-in is tough to do during lunch hours, and depending on the line it may NOT be worth the struggle. Takeout is good if you don't have to go far.
The quintessential Harvard Square restaurant. Where professors and students can grab a quick bite to eat or friends can gorge over a plate of onion rings. The menu has been around for decades, but I always find something new to try. I'll admit that I love the Hawaiian burger (pineapple and teriyaki). Great fries, great shakes. The service is perfectly curt. If it weren't for all the tourists clogging up the lines, I would give it 5 stars.
Pinocchio's is my favorite pizza spot in Harvard Square, Cambridge, and probably the entire Boston area. An amazing thick crust with the freshest ingredients. My personal favorite (probably most people say this) is the fresh tomato and basil neopolitan style. They also make great subs and are open LATE on weekends (Thrus-Sat). A+
