I previously voted for Pizza Papalis, and I figured any pizza competition in Detroit is always going to come down to Pizza Papalis and Buddy's. Yesterday I had the opportunity to try all of the city's pizza side-by-side. Not only did I think Tomatoes had the best pizza, the entire group of people I was eating with picked Tomatoes as #1! This is fantastic new york style pizza- a thin crust, lots of cheese and delicious sauce and toppings. It all goes together perfectly!

Wow, is this pizza delicious!! Honestly, the deep dish pizzas can't compete with the Italian classic. If you haven't tried this slice of heaven, lunch buffet was only $5.

This is the BEST pizza anywhere in the Detroit area. Fresh ingredients, coal oven are just 2 of the things that make this a great pizza, once you have one from Tomatoes you will never eat anywhere else!

This is Hands Down the best Pizza in Michigan! Takes just like the pie I ate in Italy! The White Pizza is amazing and try pepporini with peppers too! The lunch buffet is a great deal! You cannot beat the pirce! $4.99 all you can eat salad and pizza! 2 locations.
