Twenty-five years ago the three of us (that is, Sandy, Ilene and Marcie, identical twins and their best friend) started a business. It was our dream to create a different kind of clothing store, a store that sold real clothes for real women. We broke all the rules and opened The Studio in 1979 on the second floor of an office building in Brookline. Women know they will find not only an extraordinary collection of clothing that will make them feel and look beautiful, but also a 'comfort zone,' -- a place where they could let their hair down and bask in the attention of a talented and caring sales staff.

The Studio not only has the best clothes for comfort and style, they take you in as family and provide acceptance, familiarity, and love. Best of all they are non-judgmental, unless of course they think that what you have tried on is unbecoming. But then they'll find you something else you just can't live without!

The Studio team is very helpful and friendly to me despite being an infrequent customer with practical tastes. The clothes are well-made and stylish, but not overpriced nor so trendy to go out of style quickly. Great value with outstanding personalized attention.

Wide variety of clothes from casual to business to dressy plus accessories .....brands/designers you don't find elsewhere. Very friendly and helpful sales team that is honest! It's like having a bunch of sisters go shopping with you!

For me, The Studio is a warm, friendly comfort zone. I know when I'm there, the incredible staff will help me build a perfect wardrobe. No looking for sizes, which seems meaningless in today's fashion world.

The Studio makes shopping feel comfortable - you get lots of attention (or if you prefer to browse you can do that too). I almost always end up leaving with more than I planned to buy, but feel good about my purchases, not as if I was coerced into things I won't wear...

I have shopped at The Studio since its opening in the 70s. I like their collections and attention they always give to each customer. I moved to California in 1988 and when I visit Beantown, The Studio is the first place I run to. Over the years the girls, Ilene, Sandy & Marci have always welcomed us warmly. It's a family tradition to visit the day after Thanksgiving for a family shopping spree. There's always a stylish creation waiting for me!

From my first visit at The Studio, I was treated as one of their most priced customers. I was helped graciously, but not harassed. The sales people are always very friendly, and they bend over backwards to be helpful. The selection of clothing and accessories is one that have not seen anywhere else the metro-Boston area. Hands down, it is the most intimate and fun place to shop!

At The Studio, merchandise is always fresh, chic and interesting; it's style that allows for individual style. Always a smile, a warm and genuine greeting and an expert offer at help distinguishes The Studio from any other woman's fashion store, large or small. I've shopped there for twenty years, and have shared fashion needs, family changes and personal and artistic triumphs. The wonderful staff have frequently come to my concerts in addition to dressing me for them. For the friendship, warmth and sense of style, nothing can beat them.

Not only does The Studio have a wonderful selection of truly fashionable clothes that are wearable and affordable, but the warm, personalized service sets this store apart from the rest. The staff know how the clothes should be worn, which pieces can be mixed and matched, and where one should go if any alterations are needed. It's especially nice to come into a store where the salespeople know you by name, and remember particular likes and dislikes.
