The French Gourmet's casual restaurant located in Pacific Beach, San Diego, is famous for serving quality food in a relaxed atmosphere. It is also a showcase for our full service catering, which many consider to be the city's finest. In addition to our established menu, we offer some of our catering menu favorites on our lunch and dinner menus. After more than 29 years serving our clients it is as much an honor and a privilege, as it is a reassurance to know, that while culinary trends come and go, appreciation and dedication to quality endure.

Not only is the best food and service evident at The French Gourmet Restaurant and Catering Department, but the administration/staff are dedicated to improving the quality of life in our area. Their generosity to community projects, such as saving the local senior center, has been invaluable.
Not only a great tasting meal, but an excellent cultural experience.
I took my girlfriend here for our senior year homecoming. I was a little nervous at first thinking it may be too mature for our taste. But after sitting down, I soon realized that the hospitality and the exciting vibe made it clear that this restaurant is appropriate for people of all ages.
The French Gourmet is incredible. They catered my wedding and made my cake. Everything was so excellent that people are still raving about it 4 years later. Their food is amazing as is their service. You have to try them!

The French Gourmet has been consistently superb throughout the years. Their fare is not heavy, but expresses the best of fine French cooking.
The food is beyond delicious. For the past 5 years, each Thanksgiving I gave out at least 50 of the Brie Cheese Pastry. The Cranberry is the favorite, then the mushroom. You have to try all of them.
The Bagatelle is out of this world. At my last gathering, all partygoers had TWO slices!! Their chicken pot pie would be at the top of my Last Meal list. Decadent and oh so wonderful...
They are so professional and accommodating.
Bona fide baguettes - which are hard to find. Great pastry, Knowledgeable and courteous staff. The wine is very good and sold a a great value.
