The Foundation Lounge is in the Hotel Commonwealth. The menu features Japanese appetizers and a Sake menu. The lounge has been recognized locally as one of the best new hot spots in the city. The lounge is open 7 days a week 5pm - 2am. It has a unique specialty drink menu, and the bartenders are always experimenting with drinks not on the menu.

The layout, the lighting and the people ... always an interesting scene to partake in.
The Foundation Lounge is Boston's coolest & hippest place to meet your friend's for a drink. The food is amazing, and the atmosphere is outstanding

The Foundation Lounge is the only bar in town that gives Boston a legitimate claim to world-class sophistication. The drinks are perfect and the food is superb and inventive.
The location and the crowd make this one very hot spot.
Go see Torch Tuesday's with Singer Jeanie Flynn and her jazz quarte.

The Foundation is a Fun, up beat spot, I love the comfortable atmosphere, and the sushi is great. Its a great place to bring out of towners. It's a nice change from some of the old frumpy Boston clubs.

Hands down, the best people watching in the country...and I travel a lot. Foundation is the what the others try to be.
The atmosphere at Foundation seems different from other bars. It has a classy modern "speakeasy" feel to it. The food is quite unique; not like many other places that seem to compete with each other. I think also that being set apart (Kenmore vs. Back Bay / Midtown) shows an intrepid spirit. Of course being close to Fenway Park doesn't hurt either.
The Foundation Lounge is the best place to be and be seen. It's hot and I love to go there as often as possible.

best place to eat sushi and to dance in the city
I have been to Foundation for many events, opening day, New Years, my own B-Day Party etc. I always have a great time and am never disappointed! The Food is great, the staff is attentive and the atmosphere/over all design concept is great! Boston needs more places like this!
