wonderful imported Irish ambience, great Beer "Newcastle" and Irish comfort food, YUM! My husband & I have been enjoying this Pub since it opened; We try to dine at least every Monday evening! They know us by name & know our favorite table; sometimes a server will reserve it for us! They win our votes & a 5-Star-Rating! thanks for letting us share..........

I had the lobster boxie there and it was out of this world, the fish and chips are fantastic as well, kudos to the Chef and the staff there.

We traveled through Ireland forever and can't find a pub in Ireland better than the Field! The food is great, management is superb and that Chef Thomas is hunky!

The Field may be in the heart of San Diego but when you walk in the door you feel like you have walked into a little pub in the Country we love so well. Love the Sunday Irish dancing and music. Great pints and food to boot.

The music, atmosphere amd food are fantastic. Definately not your neon shamrock green beer "irish pub", this is the real thing and the closest you can get to Ireland without getting a stamp on your passport.

What really sets the field apart for me is the staff. Also, I have never been disappointed with the quality of their food, beer selection or Irish whiskeys. For a local, The Field is the ONLY place worth going in the Gaslamp Quarter!
