The old neon EAT sign that lit the entrance of Whitey’s for more than 25 years now sheds its glow on Tallula. The 100-seat restaurant with adjacent bar and lounge offers a modern approach to classic American fare in a friendly neighborhood environment. Owners Michael and Stephanie Babin and Christi Hart (Evening Star Cafe and Vermilion) teamed up with Peter Pflug (Clarendon Grill and Clarendon Ballroom) to create a vision of sophisticated neighborhood comfort food with sleek service and a friendly atmosphere. General Manager Tom Voskuil and Chef Nathan Anda head up the service team, focusing on efficient service and a “guest first” environment.
