Tír na nÓg (The Pub) opened its doors in the Summer of 1996 and immediately became one of the hottest Irish bars in the Boston area. Taking over the space formerly occupied by The 11th Chapter Saloon, The nÓg retained the mellow, casual vibe of the 11th Chapter while adding the legendary craic of a good Irish pub. The great atmosphere of the pub became well known, and was eventually recognized with two back-to-back Best Of Boston awards. Over the years, the nÓg has seen many changes, but remains the best place to find great beer, excellent music and friendly patrons.

It's where great musician go to see other great musicians, where to go for great pints & friendly bartenders!
I love the music and the people, and I always a good time, good beer and good music. I wouldn't come to Boston without a stop or few
What makes Tir na nog the best? Colin Spencer's world famous fajitas. Hands down, the best I've ever tasted!
It's the local cozy that makes the Nog a great place to hear good music. You can hear the same bands in other venues, but it's just not the same vibe that the Nog puts off.
You are guaranteed to have a great time at Tir na nog, whether it be because you're entertained by talented musicians at no cost, welcomed by the staff and patrons, sipping on a beer from their great selection, or eating a delicious (and cheap) meal.
The best band bookings in Greater Boston. The people. The staff, The atmosphere, the decor. The dark! The insidious dollar eating machine. The food. The dogs! The Bloody Mary's, The Guiness. Fiendliest Bar in the world.
Top-notch music in a one-of-a-kind club. The people and the staff make it one of the not so best-kept secrets in Boston.
They have the best bands, the best atmosphere, the best beer, the best bartenders, the best manager
The nOg (rhymes with rogue) is a Union Square institution. It's a friendly neighborhood bar, staffed with jovial lunatics, frequented by an eclectic mix of carpenters, movers, programmers, students, Irish visitors and musicians who know where to find good music for no cover. You'll find a thoughtful collection of beers on tap to select from as you watch world-class players like Duke Levine, John Sands, Mike Barry, and Dave Mattacks ply their trade. Go there now! And tell Feargal I said "hi."
