All customers agree, "Sweet Basil is, by far, the best pizza around!" Offering a thin crust, hand-tossed pie, Sweet Basil makes their sauce, dough and salad dressing daily from scratch. All vegetables are slow roasted first to capture their flavor, and are then added to the pie to cook on the stone. Because it is a very family friendly and casual restaurant, pizza makers converse with the customers and offer kids a front row seat to watch their pizza being hand tossed in our open-air kitchen. Offering both carry out and dine in, customers enjoy great food, beer and wine in a cozy, casual environment, while the kids can enjoy a trip to the game room. It is our goal to offer a unique and memorable dining experience, and most importantly, a delicious and much-needed-in-this-area thin crust "PIE!"

I've had several pizza's there, and never had poor service, or a poor pizza. I especially like the fact that I can add a multitude of toppings, and they are not expensive. It truly is the best pizza I've had in the Cleveland area, in a long time.

Sweet Basil's is unique, fresh, and family friendly. ( and family owned) Bring the kids in to watch the pizza guys throw around the pizza dough and they can have a piece of their own dough to give it a try themselves.

I am from New York and have lived in Cleveland for almost 7 years. This is the closest there is to NY pizza. Great atmosphere and family owned.

YUM! I highly recommend turning a chicken, brocolli, alfredo pizza into a calzone! That is my favorite thing on the menu, but the pizzas are great too.

Finally, a pizza that is like home in cleveland I have tried all the others and this is the best in town!!!! Try it he sells by the slice and you will also agree .

This is the best NY style pizza in the Cleveland area. My fiance and I love the simple, flavorful ingredients they offer. The chemistry in those ingredients makes it an unbeatable choice!

Wow, this is a great place. I have an 8 year old and I'm not impressed by much. The owner is a great guy. He works hard to make sure everyone's taken care of. There's a little game room in the back, and the kids can watch em toss the pie's. It's a great family place with a thin crust pizza you won't find anywhere. Be careful though, the pepperoni is kinda spicy for the small ones (mine's a wimp). If you go once. You'll go back. You won't drop a ton of money either, a large pizza is huge.
... Nice work is all I can say to the owner! I think my ex mother-in-law would like it!

I have had pizza on the east side and ive had pizza on the west side, but ill tell you what there is nowhere in cleveland that i could even compare Sweet Basil to. It comes down to simple ingredients prepared to there fullest potential. They way your front and back of the house crew made my wife and kids feel like we were seasoned regulars our first time is incredibe! I have not found this enviroment anywhere. I was able to enjoy a delicious meal with my wife while my three children ate at the pizza bar twenty feet away.(might as well have ben another restraunt for as peaceful as it was). The whole way home they were buzzing about how you make pizza and all the things your kitchen crew were talking to them about. I have worked in kitchens for twenty years now and how you get those guys to work together so well with such an upbeat and positive attitude is beyond me. I would like to personally thank Dan the owner for making it possible to go on dates with my wife again while not leaving the children with a babysitter. Truly incredible stuff man. Ill see you friday.

Sweet Basil pizza has a simple but incredible taste. I especially like their thin crust, which doesn't interfere with the toppings. Their best deal is the large cheese pizza, but every large is really an extra large since they're 18"!

The pizza at Sweet Basil is fantastic! I grew up on Long Island and this pizza is the best, New york style pizza around. You can't go wrong with the great crust and fresh ingredients!!! The white pie with spinach is one of our favorites!

Great Place and Pizza!!! I have been looking for a good pizza in Cleveland since I returned from out of state and read a review in a local paper , tried it and have been back at least 4 times in a month...very consistent and nice people.

I have seen what goes on behind the scene at Sweet Basil. Yea, you get to see the guys throwing the pies and adding the toppings right in front of you, but do you have any idea what goes on before that?! The dough is a fine crafted recipe that takes precise measurements. The toppings are all fresh and prepared right there in the tiny (oh so tiny) fish bowl kitchen. The pie construction crew articulately conducts nothing but excellents. Whatever they are getting paid is not enough for creating such breath taking, mouth watering, culinary magnificents. The owner Dan is Ok too.

Well what can I saw this is the best Pizza that anyone can offer. The fresh ingredients make it awesome...also the salad dressing needs to be eaten it is so good. Thanks Dan for helping us Italians barbers eat well on the job Bobby Catanza

Ate there with the family last weekend and had a great time! Pizza was outstanding. I'm glad to see someone is doing it right. Also loved their homemade salad dressing.
Kids had a great time in their gameroom.
