After 15 years of trying every salon around and never being satisfied with my hair, I was referred to George. George is amazing! I get compliments on my hair everywhere I go! I absolutely love it!! He made a comment to me the first time about how we spend tons of money on clothes and accessories, but our hair is something that is with us everywhere we go and why do people not consider it one of their priorities. He is totally right and I can tell you, he treats it like it is the first priority. The customer service is outstanding as well. I have never not been able to get an appointment when I need it and my job usually requires a last minute appointment because my schedule is so unknown. I called on 4th of July knowing they were probably closed when an employee had just stopped into the building to run an errand and still answered the phone and made me an appointment for the next morning at 8:30am. It was an emergency because we had a family reunion photo that day! They saved the day!!! And as always made me feel like a million dollars in the process!

Love, love, love 6 salon. My stylist is Jeph and his cuts are amazing. They hold their shape perfectly even after I sleep on it and just brush and go (sorry Jeph). My style must be great because people are constantly ask me who I see. I'm not a primper and I have 3 little kids who keep me hopping, but I realize that I need to stay fashion forward and 6 keeps me in line (and I love the relaxing glass of wine on Thursday nights!).
Our whole family goes to 6, and even in the high style atmosphere we all have a perfect niche to fit into. The kids cuts are pretty affordable and very good (we see Tracy Tate), and they look so much better than the horrible Bo Rics slaughter job.
I highly reccomend 6 salon to anyone wanting that perfect cut.

I feel like it's pertinent that I be upfront about my poor hair care before continuing with this review. Although I wash my hair daily, I tend to be quite (perhaps far too) lax about brushing my hair and following up with the 6-8 week trim appointments. As a result, my stylist at 6 Salon (Kristina) only sees me once a season.
The environment--everything from the furniture to the stylists' assistants--at 6 Salon is nothing but hip and is enough to make even the dullest person feel like a member of the elite.
The stylists are extremely professional and always consult the customer before the cutting commences.
Beyond offering the latest in hair-trends, 6 Salon also features a make-up artist (who also performs hair removal) and a manicurist.
Although there are many positive features at 6 Salon (they have my loyalty), a few negatives do exist. Firstly, the prices are not uniform (starting at around $50 for a cut), and when getting color and the stylist determines a trim is necessary, the customer is charged for a full hair cut when only 1/4 of an inch or hair is extracted. Also, the better the stylist the longer the wait. Never worry about being 5 minutes late because it's likely that your stylist is still working on their last customer.
An added bonus is that 6 caries a variety of up-scale hair products and accessories and can refer to which one is best for the procedure they performed. More so, most stylists are fairly honest and can point you toward a drug-store alternative to the product if you're not interested in spending upwards of $20 on shampoo (Pantene Pro-V is my personal favorite).

I love this the salon and the employees. Everyone looks amazing and I received the best cut and color I've ever had after trying many other salons and not being satisfied. If you want to look and feel amazing go to this salon and see Laura Schildt or any of the other amazing stylists!!!!

I am always treated with such professionalism when I go to 6. The stylists and receptionists make you feel so comfortable and welcome. I love the atmosphere and most importantly I love that I can trust the stylists to give me the best color and cut.

Very nice place. Very expensive and takes a very long time because there is so many people in the place. Way over booked and chaotic. Corey is the best stylist ever!!! If the place wasnt sooooo expensive and packed I would of kept going there!!!

The best place to get a haircut! I drive 45 minutes to get to Six Salon in Royal Oak, and it is well worth the drive. The energetic staff, the lively atmosphere and the fun late night Thursdays make for a geat salon!

Even after moves to NYC and Dallas, I still travel back to Michigan to get my hair cut at 6. George, Heidi and the entire staff are absolutely the best!! They treat everyone like family, and I've never left the salon feeling anything but beautiful. I couldn't give a salon or a stylist a higher recommendation! They are truly the best at what they do!
