Shaia's was founded in 1922 by S.G. Shaia, a Lebanese immigrant, who built his home and garden next to the new dry goods and notions store. By the 1970s Shaia's was rgarded as a respected retailer of fine menswear. Today the tradition continues with J.L.'s son Ken.
