The Second City is pleased to announce the closing of the successful run of “Michigan Impossible: All Laid Off & No Place to Go” and the beginning of previews for our 30th Original revue. “Michigan Impossible: All Laid Off & No Place to Go” will be closing June 17th 2007 with a final performance at 8pm. The rehearsal process and preview performances for our 30th Original Revue will begin on June 19th leading up to a tentative opening date of August 15th, 2007. Under the direction of former Second City-Detroit Musical Director, Mark Levenson, the cast for the next revue includes Brett Guennel, Quintin Hicks, Jaime Moyer, Tara Nida and Tim Robinson. John Edwartowski is musical director and Amy Duffy is stage manager. The Producing Artistic Director is Nate DuFort. What are previews? The Second City’s famous sketch comedy revues are first created through a preview process. Through improvisation from audience suggestions, the cast assembles these scenes and preview them on stage before a live audience to gauge feedback. Throughout the preview process – June 20th through August 12th – the show can virtually change from night to night. When previews are complete, the revue is titled and the new mastered revue is debuted by the cast with an opening night performance.

Hey! You Guys are Great. JON GEN told me to vote for you, please head over to local bands and return the favor by voting for him. good luck!
My husband and I went here with some friends and have one heck of a time!! We laughed til our sides hurt!! The cast is outstandingly funny! Great time, Great place!!
Jaime Moyer is one of the most talented actors in Detroit. She made me laugh just watching her expressions. A young Gilda Radner, Lilly Tomlin and Lorraine Neuman all in one!! Brava!
The shows at Second City are consistantly excellent! Tim Robinson and Jaime Moyer just have to walk out onto the stage and I laugh!

It's fun. Life's hard, and we all need to lighten up and laugh more. They make fun of our troubles and see the funny side.
This Second City, in my opinion is the best one that I've ever been to. The one in Toronto wasn't even this good. If you want to have a great time, with lots of jokes about local events and cities, check out Second City Novi.
