This whole Scribbles thing started as two overflowing bookcases in a little one bedroom apartment. So deep was our love for these volumes (even as they tumbled to the floor from double-stacked shelves) that we couldn't bear to throw them away or give them to people who might not appreciate them as we did. Eventually, it dawned on us that we could sell them to people like us—people who lose large chunks of their lives in the backrooms of used bookstores, often warmed only by the glow one gets from digging out a Jack Kerouac or Henry Miller from piles of bookcases. We've set up Scribbles to be a comfortable, inviting atmosphere—three rooms like your living room, rather than the dusty basements used bookstores often resemble. Come in, grab a book, and settle in on one of our couches. Our home is yours. Enjoy.
