The first Sanders fountain counter opened on June 17, 1875 in Downtown Detroit. Over the next one hundred years, that number would grow to more than fifty as Sanders parlors became a fixture on Main Streets throughout Michigan. Over the years, people have shared their memories of the popular Ice Cream Sodas, Handmade Chocolates and Hot Fudge Cream Puffs that you could only find at a Sanders parlor. We are pleased to return the Sanders storefront to Metro Detroit. Visit one of our 4 locations in Laurel Park Place in Livonia, the Village shopping district of Grosse Pointe, east of Woodward in Birmingham or north of Eureka in Wyandotte...and make sure you ask for your free sample!

Sanders has been my favorite since I was a child many moons ago and I am so glad to have them at Laurel Park!! When I lived in another state, my family mailed their fudge to me. THE BEST!!!!

I love the Hot Fudge and they also have Bitter Sweet for the guys in your life that like the dark chocolate taste. Their chocolates and fruit slices are very good. Just delicious!

As very young children, my siblings and I were treated to many trips to Sanders before moving to California. There are a lot of wonderful things in California, but nothing compares to Sander's Hot Fudge Topping, Caramel Cake, and other treats!!!
We envy those Michiganders who can walk into a Sanders Ice Cream Parlor . . . Thank God for online shopping!!! We treat our Cal friends with banana splits to die for! They all agree - Sanders is the best! Remembering you all fondly . .

When I was a young girl, many, many times my Grandmother would take me to the Sander's Ice Cream Shop on Michigan Ave in Dearborn, it was my favorite place to go, especially for Hot Fudge Cream Puffs! I am now 68 years old and have lived in Phoenix, AZ for 49 years and sure have missed my favorite Ice Cream dish. I just wish I could get the fudge mailed to me by Sander's, I would be a regular customer. I did not know any new stores opened in 2006 or I would have been to one of them when in Michigan recently. When I am able to visit Michigan I usually buy some fudge at a grocery store to bring back with me...while always missing and wishing I could go to a Sander's Ice Cream Shop. Now that I know about the 4 Shops, you can bet I will be going to one some day...a priority on my list!!! Sure wish there was a Sander's out here in Phoenix, I'm sure it would take over all other ice cream businesses. Thanks too, for the Website!

I used to go to Saunders with my mom when I was a young child and those are memories that I will never forget...I think it was on Houston Whittier and Kelly or somewhere near there in Detroit! It was such a treat!! Love the caramel!!

My dear departed mother took me and my siblings to get a hot fudge sundae more than fifty years ago. It was so good, I'll NEVER forget it! It's a great way to do something with FAMILY that everyone will long remember. What a great tradition!

My mother used to treat us to sanders hot fudge cream puffs when we were kids. I know they were mom's favorites! We went to one in the wonderland mall. Mom is gone now, and I'm turning 50! When I make a trip to Michigan I always bring back Milk Chocolate Fudge! I just received a package from my sister Karen today with cream puffs, hot fudge, a ice cream scoop, and some coffee.
