It's the most diverse hair salon I've ever gone to and most of the people are fun, friendly very talented and customer service oriented. My favorite new person is KHAI a new stylist who has a great fashion sense, does excellent work with weaves, and has the best personality in the world. She pays attention to her customers, is very respectful and makes us feel very important and she wants to do her best job for her clients. She's the best new addition to this salon in years and truly makes them stand out to be #1. I've been to other salons on Newbury and in the Boston area and having KHAI there, makes the biggest difference. Make an appointment with her and experience the best.

This Place is THE BEST!!!!!!! I've been going to this salon for 3 years now I can tell you I have found my home. They just re did the look of the salon and it's really cool you should cheek this place out. my stylist name is Monique she gave me hot new look for the summer, and summer has not even started yet. If you want a good hair cut and a salon that makes you feel like family then check this salon out ... Thanks MO my hair cut looks good.

This place is the "Best Salon in Boston...."
I've been to many salon in town and have had some really bad hair cuts, and bad service. Until I found SALON RED & SPA... this place has every thing right!!!! the people have all been great and most of all I can go to anyone in this salon and get great service "They all know their stuff..." if you haven't been to SALON RED then you have not been to Boston's best salon......

A year ago, my hair was a complete disaster! My hairdresser Arthur nursed my hair back to health from the mess it was in. I wouldn't go anywhere else! Very happy I found a salon who really cares about nurturing healthy hair! Not to mention, the service is wonderful!

Salon Red & Spa is the Nordstrom's of hair care. Each and every time I go in for an appointment the services rendered are best in class. The environment is friendly, relaxing, and what's most important, I look great after Arthur, "my" master stylist, works his magic. I frequently receive compliments when I'm out, and that speaks volumes to the high quality and exceptional level of creativity and knowledge of hair care that I consistently benefit from.

Salon Red is the best because I came to them searching for professional hair care after my stylist moved to LA. For three years I endured bad hair cuts and damage from other salons who said they knew how to cut, style and care for my combination hair type. Salon Red's professionals took time to evaluate my hair, lifestyle and other factors to give me a continual professional look. Their diversity is also important. When I walk in I am greeted warmly, and see many different cultures and hair types utilizing their expertise.

It's a great salon that offers a warm atmosphere with a wide array of services. Salon Red offers everything from hair services to manicure/pedicure, waxing, makeup,etc. The staff and clientèle are very diverse.

I have fragrance allergies. My stylist told one of the apprentices and every time I come in for service the apprentice always remembers to allow me to smell any product that he is washing or conditioning my hair with. The weekend manicurist truly gives you a nail treatment when you get a manicure and gives special attention to my nails even when I am just having a color change. She also always asks if the client has any foot problems or health issues like diabetes before a pedicure. They always ask you if you would like something to eat or drink. I wanted a special brand of potato chips and someone went out to get them for me.! The most important reason that I think they are the best is because they are efficient with scheduling clients. I don't have to wait a long time for my stylist because clients are scheduled to allow enough time for the service and not have to wait to be seen because of overlapping time slots! Arthur one of the proprietors, frequently instructs the apprentice while they are with the client and I learn a lot about hair care. The decor has an good energy vibe, there is a variety of music that is always upbeat and makes you feel good! These are the reasons that I don't mind going to a salon on congested Newbury Street.

Salon Red has the most professional staff with enormous amounts of knowledge and expertise in their field. Imparticular, stylist Ali Elliott, who is also a Redken color expert, is fabulous. I fly across the country to have my hair colored only by her.

I love the energy in the salon, the people that work there and their hair done there are just so full of life. I cant help but to socialize with everyone, time goes by so fast at this salon and it's very comforting
