The Ruth Page Foundation was established in 1970 by Ruth Page who was a dancer, choreographer and Chicago dance icon. The Foundation's current mission is to promote Ms. Page's vision of dance as an innovative art form and to foster artistic excellence. The Ruth Page Center, which is an arts center, located at 1016 N. Dearborn, in Chicago provides low cost theater rental to performing artists. The space has acted at an incubator for Shakespeare Repertory, Looking glass Theater Company, and a number of dance companies. The Ruth Page Center also provides a home for working performing artists through its In-Residence Program. The In-Residence Program provides an opportunity to share marketing opportunities.
