The crowds keep coming and coming. The soups are homemade and the sandwiches are big enough for two. Can't get any fresher since they're located directly in the Eastern Market and everything is prepared daily. This place rocks.

they get three stars from me 'cause i've always liked Russell Street, but they changed owners not too long ago and all of a sudden the regular staff disappeared, which makes me think maybe they fired them. if that's the case, you are a bad Bad BAD cafe!!! (but a still love that garlic soup)

The new ownership has HUGE shoe to fill! BUT they've done a great, and somehow improved on the world class menu. Support this Detroit icon by enjoying the best food in Eastern Market! =]

They have sandwiches that are out of this world made on awesome bread, fantastic homemade soups, and don't forget the chocolate chip cookie, it's so good! Check out the specials, they are fantastic as well.

I love the service and "feel" of this deli. The lunches are sooo good! Saturday breakfast is an Eastern Market tradition if you ever get a chance try the "Green eggs and Ham" special, service is great and local artist work is displayed at the establishment. Be prepared for waited seating on Sat.
