We take the kids to Robin's on Wed & Sun because they eat free on those nights. I like the all u can eat rib tips with mad dog sauce. Yum.
You gotta have the Garbage Can Combo. It's rocks with everything that they barbeque. The links are spiced right and the meats have a nice pink smoke ring. They do it the right way.
This place barbeques like they do at the Salt Lick BBQ in near Austin, Texas. Real good stuff.
The best BBQ in Southern California. The all you can eat rib tips on Sunday nite is our favorite.
We've been eating here for years, before it became a rib joint, and it's always been great. It's the total package. Great music, atmosphere and real good BBQ. My pics would be the beef ribs, the blue-cheese pecan coleslaw, the hot links and the onion rings. They even have Pabst Blue Ribbon on tap and Schlitz in a can.
The best thing about Robin's is the garbage can combo. It's got everything on it and feeds both of us well. They use big logs to smoke their meats and you cansmell the smoke in the parking lot. Worth a drive from anywhere.
We moved to the San Gabriel Valley and were looking for a good BBQ place -->FOUND ONE! Unlike a lot of the chains, like Tony Roma's, etc., Robin's has unique, homemade taste - everything's cooked on wood, and it tastes great. They have four different BBQ sauces - all unique. Ribs are good and meaty, and sides are excellent. Highly recommend
This place is all about the sauce. We alternate between the Original and the Mad Dog sauce.
We take the family to Robin's BBQ most Tuesdays and Sundays for the all you can eat Rib Tips. It's a great family deal at $12.95. Our kids can really eat and can really make a mess.
U Betcha. Besides the incredible "Q", I like the Pabst on tap and Schlitz in a can. This place is a retro barbeque heaven.
Been going to Robin'n for years and always leave satisfied and full. The garbage lid meal is enough for 3 of us.
As good as the BBQ in my hometown of NYC. Just as good as Virgils on 44th St and Dinosaur BBQ in Harlem. The sauces are great too.
Not the cheapest place but they sure pack them plates full of barbeque. We always have enough to take home for the next day. The ribs are the fall of the bone type.
What makes Robin's special are the intangibles. The warm wetnaps, the free peanuts, the mouthwash in the bathrooms, the great music but most important, this place is like cheers. Everyone is so darn friendly you'd think they were the Stepford employees. It's nice to be treated well. BTW, the ribs and tri tip are spectacular.
Holy sweet Jesus, these is mighty fine ribs. i likes the blueberry cornbread real good now.
By far the best BBQ in the San Gabriel Valley and ranks right up there with the best in LA. When someone mentions the best BBQ I put Robin's in the same league as places such as Phillip's and Woodys. This is real BBQ.
What makes this place great is that you can smell the smoke in the driveway. This place really smokes them ribs. Try the mad dog bbq sauce. It has a second hit of heat 10 seconds after it hits your mouth. Great place.
We love the old beer neons, the oldies music and the excellent hot links and beef ribs. These are the meatiest beef ribs we've ever had in a restaurant. They're not cheap but they are great.
This is one of my local favorite restaurants. If I had a bigger appetite, I'd order the "garbage can lid" special. And they have free peanuts.
The huge meaty beef ribs and the spicy garlicky hot links are always good bets. I also like the fact that you can actually see and smell the wood & smoke that is being used for the meats. The service is quick and friendly and the bathrooms are clean.
I've had "Q" all over the country. I put Robin's BBQ in the same class as Dinosaur BBQ in Harlem, NY, Arthur Bryants in KC and Williamson Brothers in Marrietta, GA. They do it right.
We've eating at Robin's for years and they have never disappointed us. Jean, C-Lo and Jen always rock and the baby backs and beef ribs are sublime.
Best piece of meat I ever put into my mouth. The tri-tip is well smoked, tender and has a good smoke ring.
Robin's bbq is to die for. I was born and raised in pasadena. My parents have been taken me once a month for the last 10 + years. Now, i am a regular at robin's, at least twice a month. The food is great, the service is SUPERB if you sit at Jen's section. Very attentive waitress. Price is extremely reasonable esp. with our economy looking so atrocioius and helpless.
I've had BBQ at the best and Robin's is in the same class as Dreamland BBQ in Alabama, Salt Lick BBQ in Austin, TX and Goode Co. BBQ in Houston, TX. It's their smoking process that makes the difference between being mediocre like most or special like they are.
Robin's is a terrific place for families, a quick bite at the counter when you are alone or for a group of friends for a party atmosphere. The burgers are delicious...juicy with a great bun. The Baby Back ribs are a classic favorite with the special blue cheese pecan cole slaw and blue berry mini-loaf. Try the mad dog sauce, my favorite. The fresh squeezed lemonade is one of the best you'll eve have. I highly recommend Robin's as one of the regulars on your restaurant list.
I like the fact that you can see and smell the smoke in the parking lot and sometimes down the block.
Never ate the restaurant but have had their BBQ Catering at several events and it's sublime.
Best damn BBQ in LA. The Blueberry Cornbread and Blue Cheese Pecan Cole Slaw are to die for.
This is some of the best "Q" Iever hdin LosAngeles. It rivals some of the best in Texas.
My only issue is it is too damn crowded on weekends. Saying that, it's worth the wait.
