Red Hanger opened for business on March 28, 1961. The first store was in Clearfield, Utah, close to Hill Air Force Base. In the early 70's, the operation expanded to Salt Lake City with the purchase of a four-store dry cleaning chain. Several more stores were added in the 80's and 90's to offer convenient service across Salt Lake and Davis Counties. Today, Red Hanger consists of 16 locations along the Wasatch Front and one state-of-the-art shirt laundry. Since the first day of business, Red Hanger has maintained two goals - quality and convenience. Red Hanger has invested in state-of-the-art equipment in each location to provide on-premise cleaning. This allows for fast turnaround time and no need to truck clothes to a central dry cleaning plant. In-car service was also established early on. All locations except the University store offer in-car service to help speed customers on their way. Red Hanger has worked hard to be a leader in the dry cleaning industry. The reputation of quality and convenient service has been paramount for over 45 years and will continue to be so in the future. In 2006, Red Hanger turned 45! To celebrate four and half decades of continuous business, Red Hanger has completely re-branded. Our new logo's clean lines and modern look exemplify the standards of quality, convenience and service that have become synonymous with Red Hanger's image. This new look will continue Red Hanger's tradition as the leader in Dry Cleaning and Laundry services well into the 21st Century!
