Proteus Bikes started in 1972 and has a 31+ year history unlike any bike shop in the region. In addition to selling bicycles, they built the famous "Proteus" brand bicycle known across the United States. In fact, Proteus bikes are quite collectible.

They are amazingly helpful, and never charge extra for spending time with you to make sure the bike is right for you. They work with youth from the neighborhood helping provide a great place for a Homework Haven, plus teaching kids how to work on bikes.
