Proper Topper has two Washington DC locations, Dupont circle and Georgetown. Both shops offer a diverse collection of home and garden accessories; children's clothing & gifts; designer womenswear (including Susana Monaco, Tracy Reese, plenty, Nanette Lepore, Ted Baker, Ticci Tonneto, Helen Wang, Chaiken and Velvet); jewelry (one of washingtonpost.com's readers' poll picks for best jewelry in DC); hats (of course!) for women, men & children – as well as a tempting array of treats that has come to define proper topper.
