Sacco's Bowl Haven is an awesome old school candlepin bowling alley located in Davis Square Somerville. The entryway is decorated with league trophies and local newspaper articles that are decades old. The place has great history but gets busy with leagues so call ahead. If you do have to wait for a lane, there are plenty of pool tables to keep you busy.

Straight up bowling, no frills. Affordable, NEVER A COVER CHARGE, NEVER A LONG WAIT (almost always no wait at all). Good pool tables, good jukebox, vending machines. Been in the family for years. THE ONLY REAL BOWLING ALLEY IN TOWN!! Old school candlepin alley founded by a great of the game. No contest.
Why would you pay a hefty cover charge and wait for 3 hours to bowl? Sacco's is it.

This is where I take out-of-town visitors to introduce them to candlepin bowling. The pool hall has some very good players hanging around, too.

16 beautiful, well-maintained retro candlepin lanes and 8 Brunswick Gold Crown pool tables, and a laid-back welcoming attitude for all types of people and all ages
