this is my business

Picante Mexican Grill is recognized locally for serving a great burrito as well as a great brunch menu. The restaurant has two locations: one in Central Square, Cambridge, and the other in Davis Square, Somerville. We're picky about authenticity and quality our food is always delivered to you fresh with the robust flavors of Mexico and California. Picante's has been cooking health conscious cuisine for years (no lard). Rather than add unnecessary oil, sugar and salt, we flavor our recipes and fresh fat free salsas with authentic Mexican spices and herbs. Along with our marinated, grilled chicken and steak items, our menu also contains lots of vegetarian choices and great tamales. Please call, we'll be glad to explain anything on our menus.

OK, first off there is almost no good Mexican food in Boston and when you start talking about fast Mexican food that drops to close to zero places. Picante is not great, but in a city of bad Mexican it doesn't take much to stand out.

I'll usually go for the burrito here. They make a decent one. I like my cheese and they don't hold back on that. They are also quite fond of slapping on a lot of sour cream and guacamole if you ask for it. Again, both good things as far as I am concerned.

By far the reason to go though is that it is one of the only fast Mexican places where you can grab a beer with your lunch. The have everything from Tecate to Dos Equis and Pacifico.

So, if you like a juicy burrito and a beer I suggest you stop by and check it out. You can even eat outside in lovely Central Sq. on nice days.

Cross between a burrito place and an actual Mexican restaurant. I'm not a huge fan of their burritos (too saucy/soggy), but their chicken mole enchiladas are verrry good. miss the spot in Davis (closed up last year) but the one in Central is pretty good and has a liquor license. The BEST part is the condiment bar with 5+ different salsas that you can add to your dish.

I eat at Picante at least once a week (I don't even live in the neighborhood and there's a Mexican restaurant just down the street from my house.) The burritos are awesome!!! Easily the best in the Boston area...fresh ingredients and a great salsa bar. Or try one of the combination plates. Plus, you can get a Mexican beer to wash it down. Yummy!!!!

The burritos are grilled, not steamed. The Limeade is tart and fresh. The variety of salsas allows you to make it as hot as you want.

I've tried Anna's, Boca Grande, and a variety of other burrito places, but Picante is by far the very best. The burritos are huge, and stuffed with great ingredients. After one of Picante's burritos, you won't be hungry! Plus, they have a good selection of salsa, varying from hot to mild, as well as various chiles and ingredients.

They have the best selection of salsa's and they are prepared fresh. This place has the best seasoned chicken used in the burritos and taco salads. I visit them at least 1-2 a week!

Try the mole enchiladas. They are made fresh to order and are the best. The portions are also huge (almost too big). I was sad to see the Davis Sq. Picante go, but now I make the pilgrimage to Central Square for Boston's BEST quick (and CHEAP) Mexican.
