Harvard Book Store is a unique and special place to shop. The store's shelves help readers discover books through staff recommendations -- and the staff is extremely helpful. All store best sellers are discounted twenty percent. The basement of the store showcases a large assortment of used paperbacks. Each week, we highlight three new arrivals in our email newsletter and on the web. It’s a great way to get a taste of what’s new.

need to make a deal with Grolier Poetry Book Shop, as a means to make more room for other categories.
I'm happy to support this book store.
The staff at Harvard Book Store are invariably friendly and helpful. They have amazing people like Al Gore and John Kerry visiting and speaking or signing books. Their talks are always well-organized and fun. Long live Harvard Book Store!
Excellent selection, knowledgeable staff...and an independent book store, not a chain!
I like them for special discounts and for the variety of books in addition to hard and soft covers i.e. used and remainders, but especially I admire and respect the knowledgeabilty of the staff about books, and their attentiveness to the needs of their customers.
HBS is a book-lover's bookstores -- huge selection, knowledgeable staff, great author events, and terrific used and remainder sections.
Great bookstore...I especially love their selection of Art books. I judge a bookstore on that particular section; if they have a good one it means they really are aware of all their customers and not just the cheap novel gang.
Discount on current books and an ample used-book section for paperbacks. Helpful staff. Frequent Buyer card for a free book after so-many purchases.
