i trained with dave for approximately 8 months before joining the army. the level of instructino offered by dave is top notch at every level. my mother left a comment earlier citing, and i will be repeating her a lot in this but it never hurts to reiterate the truth. when i walked into dave's facility, i couldnt run a mile, nevermind with any kind of speed, i couldnt do a squat, everything was completely jacked up. i had held one gym membership in my life, and stopped going after a few days. i had tried all kinds of martial arts, with no real positive effect on my conditioning. after the first lesson with dave, i could barely walk out of the gym. within weeks, i was already in much better shape, by the time i left for basic training, i was at the gym twice a day, religiously, pounding through the hardest of workouts. here is a testament to the effectiveness of dave's training, my very first pt test in the army, i got my best score ever, it has all been downhill from there, despite my futile efforts to maintain my former shape. above all though, was the family like atmosphere, and positive aspects dave had on my life. before joining the gym, i was another drug addicted alcoholic teenager. with the training and atmosphere in the gym, i found a new release for myself, and quit everything that i was doing wrong in my life, 1) so i could improve my scores on a daily basis and 2) because i was feeling truly happy about being there on a daily basis. here is a great example of dave's awesome attitude towards his clients: i had shown up daily for my first two weeks of class, ironically, dave thought id never show up again after my first class. after two weeks of knowing me, he really took me under his wing and tried to help me as much as he could, he invited me to go train with some friends of his down on the south shore for the opening of another crossfit gym, and let me follow him all the way down simply because he could see the passion for training that i had, and he helped to embrace it. after my army career (which as my mother aluded to has not gone oh so well) is over, i look forward to training with dave again, and possibly looking into becoming a personal trainer myself simply to help others in the way that dave helped me. his coaching is nothing short of excellent, and i couldnt imagine finding a better coach...

One of Dave's best attributes as a coach is how he manages all his trainers and coaches. He makes them better each and every week, which so positively translates to the success of all his clients. Dave is always willing to take time out of his busy schedule to assist his coaches in whatever they need, as well as all his clients.

I was recently introduced to Crosffit and had the good fortune of having Dave as my elements trainer.

Dave made me feel instantly comfortable and he instilled in me the belief that Crossfit training was something I could do and that if I kept at it that I would get better and better each time. He inspired me to go on, when I had real doubts about my ability.

Dave is patient, kind and inspiring and it is clear that he wants people to succeed. He's awesome!

Dave always has a smile for everyone he meets. He is encouraging and positive in his high regard for exercise and proper form. He teaches with a simple ease of someone who is confident in himself and truly believes in what he teaches. He not only instructs his clients, but his staff as well and they are all equally qualified to pass on his committment to health and wellness.

I have never been a client. My son was. The physical fitness Dave taught was obviously top notch, but as writers above have indicated it was much more than that. My son felt very much a part of the 'Cross Fit' family. His life improved in every way....not just from a physical fitness standpoint. He couldn't wait to get to the gym every day! He was in top shape when he left for the army. Unfortunately, the army has done little to assist him in maintaining his fitness (oddly enough) or his passion for life. I am looking forward to his coming home and getting back involved with Cross Fit. Dave takes a personal interest in his clients and it shows!

Dave has taken me beyond any goals I have ever thought possible... including competing in a National Olympic weightlifting competition...and winning in my age and weight class. Three years ago I was just a runner now I am a well rounded athlete with many goals because of Dave's unbelievable ability to motivate and coach.

Dave has dedicated his life to improving the lives of others around him. His true passion for health and fitness is inspiring to everyone he comes in contact with. What makes Dave so unique is his ability to make each individual he works with feel as though they are his only client or member. Dave goes out of his way to know his clients and members personally and find the best way to assist them in acheiving their goals.
