Hei La Moon is one of the hidden gems of Chinatown -- across the expressway surface road, the restaurant is tucked beneath a parking garage. They serve authentic Shanghai style cuisine and have weekend dim sum.

Went to Hei La Moon for the first time this weekend and was really impressed. My favorites were the spare ribs (served over a bed of rice noodles which was unique), the long slippery rice noodles filled with beef, and of course the dan tat (sweet custard -- served warm!). All were delicious. Would have given it 5 stars, but they don't serve XLB.
