Despite the fact that East Asia is a Chinese/Thai fusion (which I generally assume means neither are good), this is definitely one of my favorite spots in the Davis Square general area.

I've gotten takeout, delivery, and eat-in (lunch specials!) and I am always satisfied. The stir fried dishes are so light and flavorful; the veggies are incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection. The shrimp and beef dishes are certainly good, but it's the chicken dishes that truly shine; the chicken is sliced nice and thin and marinated and then stir fried to perfection. Love the kung pao with fresh red & green peppers and onions.

Tip: don't waste your appetite on the fried wonton strips; they look good, but it's not worth it.

I love East Asia -- I get delivery from them practically once a week! They easily have the quickest delivery service I have ever encountered (all cuisines). The food is so fresh, delicious, light.

The fried rice isn't over-saturated in oil and soy sauce like almost all other places. I prefer their Chinese dishes to their Thai offerings, but every once in a while I'll get the hot basil chicken and it really hits the spot.
