Uniqueness - Madeleine carries boutique line merchandise, and her pet portrait service adds a personal touch. You can have your pet's portrait done by an artist of your choosing from her roster and portfolio, which makes it a lot easier to shop for just the right person to do the job. She's enthusiastic about dogs, especially, and that makes for instant rapport with clients.

I saw an article The Washington Post last year in the Home Section about Madeleine's Dogs couture. As I entered the store I was greeted by a woman wearing pearls and Lily Pultizer jeans with dogs on them. She was measuring a grey hound for a couture coat and offered my pet a canine treat shaped like a scotty served on a sterling silver tray. Madeleine's Dogs is very dog friendly. Her treats are also sold at Whole Foods in Old Town Alexandria Virginia. All of her treats are named after the streets of Old Town Alexandria Virginia. Her accessories are made in the usa and by many local artisans. Fabulous needlepoint dog breed pillows from England. A must to see the next time you are in Old Town Alexandria Virginia. I did all of my Christmas shopping last week for my pet friendly folks. Check out her Christmas stockings that can be monogramed with your pets name.
