The Erwin Gomez Salon & Spa will bring its own combination of beauty through my artistry; substance through an education about our special process and carefully-selected products; spirituality through my Hispanic/Asian philosophy and sensibility as a Filipino; and customer service through our sedulous selection of elite staff from around the globe. We will provide our clients with an unparalleled spa experience, which will start with the Eastern Dragon, who was used as an inspiration for the ethos of our new space on Wisconsin Avenue in Georgetown. The Dragon’s red color is to provide protection and good luck; five claws represent the power of a dynasty; noble brow celestial wisdom; rigorous body strength and protection; and winding tail motion and beauty. We are temporarily located on the second floor during renovation. The Grand unveiling of my new space will soon be announced.

I have been a local client of Carey MacPherson at Erwin Gomez for more than 7 years. I followed her to Erwin's salon from her previous salon. She is the BEST colorist I know - and her hair cuts are amazing. When I moved here from San Francisco, I tried several "high-end" salons and felt like they all tried so hard to be hip, but didn't have expert stylists to back up their high prices. In my opinion, I don't care where I get my hair cut -- it's all about the trusted relationship you have with the right stylist who understands your hair texture, and personal style. Try Carey if you're looking for a true professional with great instincts and skill!

I went to Erwin's salon and could not have been more impressed with the outstanding service. They treat you with the utmost respect and make you feel wonderful. I was also ushered in at the last minute to get my eyebrows waxed even though he had been unavailable. He even had his assistant give me some tips and advice for an event I was going to. GREAT service. Thank you Erwin!!!

I went to Erwin Gomez for my eyebrows after he was highly recommended by a friend. He was in such a rush that he nearly burned my skin off. He was distracted and trying to hurry up for his next and probably more "important" client - for what I paid, I ended up getting skinny, uneven brows. I wouldn't go back.

Although the salon may look pretty and posh, I was NOT impressed. I had a one on one make-up teaching lesson with Erwin Gomez. Not only did he answer his cell phone and business phone during my appointment, but he also was pushing off the Make Up Forever Line. Basically, this was just another Mary Kay consultant pitching you their products. The supposed Make-Up "Expert" made my face look like a Halloween mask, even though he said the purpose of make-up is not to look like you're wearing any. I was wearing a full fledged Halloween mask. I could actually take my finger and scrape off two inches of foundation. The eye makeup was supposed to be smoky...It did not turn out like that. The salon is very lovely with their $16,000 massaging chairs. However, for the $365.14 that I dropped on the makeup consultation with Erwin, I felt like I was ripped off. I even went home and washed off my "professionally" done make-up after I had left the salon. I was really looking forward to this experience however, I was greatly disappointed. In my opinion, Erwin Gomez is not as great of a make-up artist as some suggest.

The salon is friendly...warm and inviting....you feel like a queen when you walk in and are greeted with such interest and care. Erwin wants to make sure everyone is acknowledged and cared for. He is a true gentleman and professional. The new salon looks to be the most fabulous setting in all of the U.S....I can hardly wait to see it and make my first appointment there.

Erwin himself is a marvel - he is the best eyebrow and make-up human in the world. His salon and spa is founded on the principles of excellence, wow factor and customer service. The concept is amazing --- very hip, cool, and always relevant. He and they are genuine, authentic, truly nice. There is nothing like working with an artist and team that has total mastery. Erwin Gomez Salon & Spa cannot be beat! We are lucky to have them in the DC area.

I have been seeing Erwin and Valerie for over three years. They both are exceptional with their clients on a professional and personal level. I never get tired of the compliments I receive on my hair and eyebrows. They truly are THE BEST EVER. Oh, and I recently started enjoying manis and pedis at the Salon... Which are just relaxing and glamorous.

I have been going to Erwin for several years. Words can not describe what Erwin can do with make up and an eyebrow tweezer. He makes u feel like a princess and that is priceless. I love him.

Erwin is a phenomenal person. His humility is remarkable for someone as talented and sought after as he is. He and every one of his staff is committed to serving the client. Erwin has standards and he stands by those standards. If he is not going to be able to serve you and give you his best, he will refuse to serve you...rather than to just take your money and leave you dissatisfied. Erwin Gomez has a vision and his spa is the best in Washington. He and his staff only give their very best!!! And, he graciously appreciates any business that he gets. He even says "thank you!" and he means it from the bottom of his heart. Erwin Gomez Salon is a must see, must go, must get served there!!!!

Erwin Gomez spa is a place that's makes you feel comfortable. Some spas seem too hospital like and Erwin Gomez has a welcome feeling and its exciting every time I go there. Valerie La Faye is the best colorist and hair stylist. I never tell her what to do- she just creates and it's great.

You are always treated as an individual based on your needs not just another customer being treated like everyone else. In the beauty business everyone has their own unique needs and desires and Erwin meets everyone's and more. He makes you feel special and in today's economic challenges that's tough to find.

I went to visit Valerie on a recommendation by a friend. It was the best thing I've done for myself and my hair. Val is sweetheart, she not only gave me a great cut that she felt suited me better but also educated me on how to keep up my great look in-between my visits to her. I had a friend go visit her for color, and it was amazing! She is very talented and I believe loves what she does because it shows in her work. I would go see her soon before she gets really booked. I had to wait two weeks for my appointment, but it was definitely worth it.

I go to Erwin every free minute that I have. He is a great person to talk with, and he helps to relieve any stress that I may be going through, not to mention that he has been doing my eye brows for over 3 years now and I wont let anyone touch them but him.

I actually just got back from there. My boyfriend and I just had a manicure and pedicure. We absolutely LOVE the Hawaiian pedicure. Nia is the best and Erwin made my eyebrows look GREAT. I love you guys, I can't wait until the downstairs is done.

Erwin Gomez is the most talented eyebrow artist I have ever met. It isn't just the fact that he takes the time to truly shape your eyebrows to your face (which makes a HUGE difference to your appearance), he also makes you feel good about yourself no matter what. He is kind, caring and skilled. Although I haven't yet taken advantage of the other services at his salon, I look forward to it. Erwin hand-picked the people who work for him and I entirely trust his opinion.

Valerie is a true artist! She has been doing my hair for 8 years or so and I have had people stop me in the streets asking me who cut my hair. I trust her blindly!! Erwin is a master of make-up and eyebrows, and on top of that he is just an amazingly sweet person. These two make an awesome TEAM!!

Erwin's dedication to detail makes him second to none. But his artistry isn't his best attribute; it's his thoughtful manner and sincere passion for his clients. I unfortunately have relocated to the Philadelphia area but have considered on many occasions traveling back to DC simply for him. Hands down Erwin is the best in DC, Philly and NYC. I wish him and his salon continuing success.

They've had the good sense to select an excellent architect for their new facility in Georgetown. The facility will be beautiful. I'm totally impartial although the architect happens to be my daughter.
