I've tried so many others. I used to look with with envy at other women on the street and in magazines. Now, my hair has never looked better. People actually come up to me now and ask for referrals. Go Susan and Urban Escape!

Subari is awesome!!! He can work with any type of hairstyle and it always comes out looking great. I just go in and let Subari run wild and I always love what he does :-) Plus, Yuda is the best hair washer ever!!!

Subairi have been my stylist for a long time and i always been very happy with his creation. he's very very talented person and I recommended you to come to him for color and hair cut, he is fantastic. Subairi at urban escape is the bomb.

Urban Escape offers a wide variety of services from traditional to trendy, hair skin and nails all aspects of beauty. Everyone that works there is well trained and makes your visit relaxing and enjoyable. It is one of the few places that offers chemical straightening that leaves hair healthy and does hair extensions.

Not only is the staff the most friendly, and professional, there's a L'oreal educator on staff, so the color services are the BEST!!!!! Also, I've had facials, BUT the esthetician is the best in the city. It's worth checking out!!!!

Andrea at Urban Escape is, in my opinion, the best colorist and hair cutter in the Washington area. For nearly 15 years, she has kept my cut and color so (pardon the pun) "cutting edge" that I get raves almost every day (from men as well as women!). In addition, the entire staff at Urban Escape is friendly, welcoming, and thoroughly professional.

I’ve been dying my hair myself forever. Hesitant about having it professionally done because it can be rather expensive and in all honesty how much better could it really look. Subairi had been styling my hair for awhile and convinced me to finally have him work his magic. He’s been dying my hair ever since. He knows my hair style, my hair texture and each time we play around with shades and highlights. I’ve never had so many compliments on my hair color. He creates a style that is funky yet professional. He is truly an amazing style-artist and it shows with his perfectionist technique, creative mindset and his all around attention to your wants and needs.

I too am someone extremely picky about my hair stylists, and once I find a good one, I stick with them. Subairi is it! He is the best, always makes you look stylish and fun! I have yet to have my hair colored by him, but my friend has and she always looks great. Thanks Subairi!

Andrea is great. She always gives me a great cut that fits my personality and style. Everyone there is really talented but the prices are still decent. I get compliments all the time and inquiries as to who cuts my hair. Everyone at Urban Escape is very friendly and I always enjoy my visits there. I recommend this place to everyone.

Subairi has been my stylist for over three years, and I'd never consider going anywhere else! Urban Escape is an extremely customer-friendly salon, where everyone always has a smile. The atmosphere is relaxing, and the stylists are first rate!

Subairi gives me the best haircut that any stylist has ever given me. He listens to what I want, then he does exactly that. He colors my hair perfectly, too. As a bonus, he is a kind, gentle person and hires people who are like he is. I look forward to appointments at Urban Escape.

I've gone from long brown hair to super short platinum blonde - and everything in between - with Andrea at Urban Escape. My color (and cut) is always amazing, and my desire to be playful with my hair while keeping it professional for the office is always respected. Andrea, and everyone at Urban Escape, is exceptional, and I hope that all the good press they've been getting doesn't make it impossible for me to get an appointment!

I've been going to Suibairi for a number of years now. He always does an amazing job with cutting, coloring and styling my hair. He's such a nice guy, too. I am happy to see him expanding to open a spa, in addition to his salon on R St. I would recommend Suibairi and Urban Escape to everyone.

I could not agree more. This shop is the spot. Subari and his staff are professional, talented, and always warm and friendly to their customers. You know when you leave Urban Escape you have a personally crafted style of distinction. In addition, the salon offers a various lines of high quality low maintenance products to help you keep that look!

As a man with unusually picky preferences in who cuts my hair, Urban Escapes has been just what I've been looking for. I've haven't been this satisfied with a haircut in years. I've never gotten a color job from Subairi, but he and his crew definitely deserve to be mentioned in any category listing the best stylists/salons in DC.
