I've heard so much about Mervis, my boyfriend and I finally decided to go there last week. We went to the DC location on Saturday and they were closed!!! Needless to say my boyfriend was not happy cuz he finally agreed to go ring shopping and the store was closed! I'm going to try to get him out this weekend, this time I'm going to try Charleston Alexander...any thoughts?

It's a no nonsense process. I like the fact that they really do give you the lowest price without giving you any problems. Also, I feel they are pretty honest and I would go back and buy another diamond if I needed too.

Their customer service is excellent. The experience of purchasing a diamond ring can be very difficult, both financially and finding the perfect diamond. Leon Mervis made this process seem easy. He let me decide what qualities I was looking for in a diamond and then he showed their selection. I was very impressed by his professionalism and helpfulness in finding exactly what I wanted, without any pressure. He did not try to sell me the most expensive diamond (unlike other dealers), instead he showed me various diamond qualities and characteristics and allowed me to select from a wide range of diamonds based on my criteria. I highly recommend Mervis Diamond Importers to everyone who's looking for the perfect diamond. They have such a wonderful selection...both classic and modern. They have sales people that truly know diamonds and the merchandise and take time with each customer. Once you buy with Mervis they provide excellent follow up with diamond maintenance and the ability to upgrade.

I just bought my engagement ring from Mervis. I told them what I was looking for and they brought out the perfect engagement ring for me. Although out budget was limited, I was able to get my favorite band and a modest, but beautiful diamond ring. My fiance loves the intricate engraving of the band so much, we are going to get matching wedding bands of the same design, also from Mervis.

I bought my wifes ring from Mervis in 1999. They are easy to deal with and they don't inflate their prices only to slap a 60% off sale tag. The experience was comfortable and they take time to explain what is going on. I already had my "diamond education" before going there so I knew what I wanted and knew the price was good. I selected my diamond online, had it transferred to Tysons and bought it the same day. They mounted it and had it ready for pick up 2 days later (Friday). We were engaged that weekend. Our 7th Anniversary is in April. Ronnie is "The Bomb"! Keep up the good work.

I went to Mervis after shopping online and visiting several other jewelers. The service is very professional and polite; you wait in a large private room and receive the personal attention of one of the Mervis salespeople. The salesman that I dealt with was happy to explain all the rules of grading diamonds, and go through the process of comparing various stones with me (which I had already picked out on their excellent website). The best part is the price, which is just outstanding. Shop around other jewelers and then go to Mervis, and you'll see what I mean.
