Back to the Past has been in the collectibles business since 1992, serving a growing community of pop culture fans in the Southeastern Michigan and Metro Detroit area. We love old stuff and seek out the strange and bizarre wherever it can be found. BTTP is not only the best comic book shop in town, it's one of the most amazing places in Metro Detroit for unusual gifts! Both comics and movie fans will find something here of interest. Just about any sort of memorabilia you could dream of is right there! When you walk into the store or browse the website, you'll see things you haven't thought about in years, generating all sorts of memories and excitement! You'll be occupied for hours! Superheroes, Betty Boop, Bettie Page, John Wayne, Nightmare Before Christmas, Pirates of the Caribbean, and horror properties like Jason, Freddy, Godzilla, Terminator...the list goes on and on! More comics, toys, magazines, statues, movie memoribilia, entertainment and enjoyment than any store I've visited. Ever. If the Lord didn't want us to shop here, He wouldn't have made it so much fun!

Been a satisfied customer since day one. In fact, I moved to California and STILL shop at Back to the Past! No good stores in my area, and it's actually cheaper to buy stuff at Andy's and have it shipped out. THAT is a GREAT STORE!

Incredible selection. Incredible service. Incredible value. I always spend at least half an hour to over an hour every time I go...There is always something new or undiscovered to find. It's a lot like going on a treasure hunt (except the pirates are small and collectible)!

It seems when I get the opportunity to buy comics on my income, I'd rather not have to shop around and go to multiple places. I usually like to go to one place and blow my load on the guy they call "C". He collects the same stuff, and usually is about 5 steps ahead of me so I use him to get me up to date. Great Place, and great staff knowledge. A++ Will do business again!

Back to the past has done it again. Found the impossible (so I was told) We were so thrilled to be able to find this classic item for our daughter Autumn. Her upcoming birthday is September 1! Way to go Andy and All. I cant wait to see Autumns face. She will be so happy. Keep up the great work.

The staff is knowlegable and makes shopping for comics an enjoyable experience. After one visit you will be a customer for life. With a great selection of back issues and the best prices on new comics you won't find a better shop.

Not only the best store in Detroit...but all 50 states!!! I use to live in Detroit and now live out in California but I still call Andy and his team to help me with finding the perfect gifts for my hubby. They are amazing! and will help you find the stuff that is hard to track down. Plus I like shopping there my self for fun Pop Culture stuff when I'm in town... You never know what you will find in this great store! Hey! Andy! When are you going to open a store out here in CA!!! We could use you out here!!!

I love the fact that these guys were so helpful to me. It is a bigger, brighter, nicer store and they have WAY more then comic books. They had antiques and other collectibles that I remember from my childhood. Other comic book stores in the area are creepy and females do not feel comfortable entering. This one does not even come close to falling into that category. Check them out!

I consider myself an expert in the comic book field, having collected for more than 30 years. I have traveled a lot and been to many other stores. I have never found a store like this. I am so glad it happens to be where I live. It truly is a store that others should try to set their standards by.

Back to the Past Comics is far more than just a comics store. They have collectibles of every kind. Models, posters, action figures, prop replicas, pop culture items, the latest stuff as well as a host of classic items. If you don't see what you want, they'll go out of their way to get it for you. Andy, Pete and Scott treat you like family. If you visit once, I guarantee you'll be back! You can even sell your old stuff for cash or trade for new items. The age of Customer Service is not dead! I've been coming here for a few years now, and the guys at Back to the Past would give you the shirt off their back (or in some cases, the comics out of their collections) to make sure you leave satisfied. They've even gone as far as to dig up some old Get Smart collectibles for my wife when she was recovering from kidney stones. Truly a class act.

Andy may be a black-hearted he-devil that survives only in the deepest depths of men's tormented souls as he feasts upon their melancholy, but he runs a tight ship. Indeed for such a delightfully corrupted and rogush bunch, all those at Back to the Past are at the peak of their game and are an honor to purchase from... except for that Pete guy, he'll eat your soul without a half thought.
