There is no, absolutely no other theatre like the Uptown. It is only one of 3 left in the country that is a Cinerama house. It still has the three booths in the balcony with the capacity to show this former exceptional process. If everyone saw one real 70mm film at the Uptown, they would demand a return of an art that died out long ago. This extraordinary screen can project any film with a clarity that compares to nothing else.
