Consignment Quality - Yard Sale Prices The PTO Thrift Shop carries a large selection of clothing for the entire family (including maternity and plus sizes!). The shop also sells funky and functional housewares, toys, games, vintage items, books, and more . The shop is run entirely by volunteers. All proceeds benefit the children of Arlington's nine public schools. Since opening in 2004, the shop has distributed $90,000.

Kudos to all the volunteers!! It is a great way to donate, and pick some treasure up at the same time. Arlington schools are lucky to have such devoted and caring people. Prices are great and a nice way to meet nice people.

Extremely well-run, uncluttered, well-organized, rock-bottom prices for good quality (sometimes new) clothing, toys, books, etc. And the $ supports the schools, best of all.

The Arlington PTO Thrift Shop, located in the Fox Brank Library, has become a valuable addition to Arlington shopping. It helps families with their clutter by accepting donations; it helps consumers find inexpensive toys, clothing, etc; AND all profits from the PTO Thrift Shop goes DIRECTLY to the Arlington Public Schools. I understand that my elementary school (Thompson) has recieved at least $4000 from them, and their are 6 other elementary schools in town, as well as a junior high school and a high school -- all who received PTO Thrift Shop donations. The people who work there volunteer their time for no profit back to the shop -- it all goes to the schools. AMAZING. I am wearing a very nice shirt right now that I purchase for $4 from the Thrift Shop. They deserve the award!!

My daughter absolutely loves to go there and get "new" clothes, and the quality is fabulous; very well screened. We always find something we like.

Wonderful, unique selection of practical, great clothes for children of all ages and adults at low prices--a big help when trying to afford living in Arlington, MA in 2007.
Also, great, fun customer service by school community volunteers, plus a wonderful, cool feeling of community. I greatly appreciate that our family's clothes (and occasional book and toy) shopping can also to give back to our schools and that we're keeping the money local rather than driving to another municipality (!) to a corporate-owned big box.

The PTO thrift Shop provides an invaluable service to the Arlington Community. There are so many families that benefit threefold: we have a place to shop at amazing prices, we have a place to recycle used goods so that others may find them AND all that money goes right back into our public schools! Talk about reuse, reduce, recycle!

The PTO Thrift Shop is run entirely by volunteers who work tirelessly and selflessly to sort through all of the donated items. The proceeds from the sale of these items at the Thrift Shop go directly to the Arlington Public Schools to help support the Parent-Teacher Organizations with additional funding.

PTO Thrift shop is run by an extremely dedicated group of women who pride themselves not only on carefully screening what they sell, but donating all the proceeds to the local schools. These women put in countless hours each week and each one of them have children in the Arlington Public Schools. They go far above and beyond the call of duty! Can't say enough about their dedication and commitment to the town and to the school system.

I got a Nine West handbag for a $1 at the PTO thrifty shop. I have been using it all the time for over a year now and got a lot of nice compliments from other women (I hate to admit the truth here but only do it for a good cause. ) It feels great to get something great, at a bargain price, without additional strain on the environment, and above all, help out the local schools.

The PTO Thrift Shop is a wonderful resource in our community to recycle and reuse a variety of household items, clothing, toys, and other goods. It is run entirely by volunteers to enrich the Arlington Public Schools by contributing all of its proceeds equally to each of the nine schools in town. It's been an amazingly successful endeavor by a small group of women, and I would love to see it get some much deserved praise and publicity.

The PTO Thrift shop is a wonderful place to bring items that you don't need anymore. While you are donating it's great to browse and take a new treasure home. The proceeds directly benefit the Arlington public schools. Many kudos to the founders and everyone who volunteers. There time is very much appreciated!

I love the PTO people. they work long hours to sort and arrange the clothing. all of this is volunteer hours and done for the benefit of the Arlington schools. they do not charge exorbitant prices and have very nice stuff

I love this shop! You can find funky, fun shoes, designer clothes, and a great mix of sturdy kids' clothes, which is great since kids seem to grow out of everything moments after each purchase.

The PTO Thrift Shop really operates like a swap among friends, with a small fee to make a donation to the Arlington Public Schools. The quality is amazing, and the staff is enthusiastic. I find the best stuff for so little! What could be better?

The PTO Thrift Shop is a wonderful example of a community working together. People donate loads of stuff that's been outgrown or not used, volunteers go through the huge amount of donations and figure out what is able to be sold and for how much, the staff is very friendly and helpful, the prices are wonderful, and if ever I buy something that we can't use, I just re-donate it back so someone else in town can benefit. The Thrift Shop has provided over $62,000 to the schools of Arlington, and all have benefited!
