We huddle in to eat a nourishing meal with friends, curl up to read a book, or rejoin our families. Our home is where we want to feel secure and comfortable, surrounded by the things that make us feel good and are important to our well being. To this end, welcome!

Just walking in the door a Pod is a pleasure! Julie finds housewares grand and small -- from coat hooks made of a birch limb and vintage blankets to chic, inexpensive dinnerware and linens. the best place for wedding gifts, new home gifts, birthdays....and of course gifts for YOUR home!

I have been a fan of Pod from the very beginning (I think Julie borrowed my tools to build in the first shop!), and I am constantly amazed by Julie's creative and thoughtful capabilities. Classic, organic and ahead of the trend, Pod is all these things.

Pod is never Ho Hum. Julie's inventory is unpredictable and quirky. Her vision is steely-eyed for bull's eye taste with every item in the store. I would be happy to use one of her comforters and live in Pod 24/7. Being in Pod is meditative. Be There!

Pod is my 'go-to' for the cool, the hip, the unique and the edgy. Plus, Julie and co. offer up awfully nice company.
Of all of what Boston (and surrounds) have to offer, Pod has the most extraordinary collection of housewares and apparel. You can tell that the owner takes great care and pride in the inventory.

i feel julie and her staff have created an atmosphere at pod that is in complete union with the products they sell. i always want to take away a little bit of that peace and calm i feel while i'm there. AND, i always want to come back for more. when buying a gift i want to share that feeling with those i am buying for. it isn't just about the product, its about the feeling it engenders when purchasing , and giving the gift. that is a rare quality, and pod delivers the goods.

Pod is easily the nicest and least pretentious home decor shop I have ever had the pleasure to shop at. The staff is knowledgeable and considerate, and the design is always inspiring. The shops handpicked merchandise reflects the staff's socially and environmentally conscious approach to treading lightly. My wife and I have integrated a visit to Pod into our weekend routine, even if to just stop by to smell that weeks fresh-cut flowers and say hello to the owner, and of course the shop pup, Tulip.

Julie and her staff are incredibly helpful. Everything in the store is well designed, well priced, and unique. The atmosphere is very friendly. This is my "go to" for gifts, always! (The gift wrapping is beautiful; they even ship via UPS for out of town recipients!) Why go anywhere else?

I have been a customer of Pod since the doors open. Julie Baine and the Podettes have always greeted and treated everyone wonderfully. The amazing thing about Pod is that although small, it continues to amaze all my senses. 90% of my gift buying is from Pod. For a single small store, there is always something new and beautiful/fun and Julie is true to her best sellers. I am thrilled Pod has been nominated and wish The Podettes the best of luck!

There are great little stores all over Boston, but Pod stands out in many ways: Julie find unusual home goods way before they become well known; she sticks with items that are basics so you can come back for those; and she finds unusual objects or items that help keep my house decor individual. Pod style is a mix of artisan, modern, and antique without ever seeming cluttered or non-cohesive. When you walk in the door, you just want everything -- you want "a bit of Pod." Great staff, great service and Pod supports up-and-coming designers too! Pod offers home goods and gifts that are inexpensive (birch log coat hooks for $7) and amazing (Chiness puppet heads on stands for $200). Great place for wedding gifts, baby gifts, and gifts for oneself!

I just moved from Boston to the Midwest and have been missing "my store" ever since. I could walk to pod from home and it would be such a treat to enter the store and i rarely left empty handed......

The store's elegance is understated. The items are gracefully displayed such that while there are many, there is no crowding. There is art not only in the merchandise, but also in the selling of it. The items are unique, merchandise rotates and it is a very friendly place, as well.

I can always find a wonderful, unique, beautifully-designed gift at Pod. There's a zen feeling there, and the aesthetic of the merchandise is really special -- and not what you'd find anywhere else. Pod gifts are wrapped to perfection, and always commented on and appreciated. (I also regularly indulge in things for myself when I'm there!)
