Best place to go in Detroit after the bar. I have stayed till close many times. Great food, good staff & they don't get rude when it's time to boot your butt out! Thanx for being open late.
If you haven't tried Xochimilco's flaming cheese ... you need to do so ... it is the BEST!
After you close at your own restaurant, Xochi's is open for you. If you get a night off, the margaritas are the best too, not too sweet, consistently good. After 20 years nothing has changed and thank goodness, salsa, recipes, guacamole are all low key and authentic, not a "burro" on the menu! A Detroit landmark and institution, the rest are poor gringo copies!
Every time I go there the food is ALWAYS perfect! The flaming cheese appetizer is the best around! Nobody else can even come close to it!
In Mexicantown. If you want it more authentic than this...go to Mexico, otherwise, this is the BEST around.
They have the best Margarita's in the world! Oh yes, their food is excellent too!!
I love this place! I drive an hour to pay for a $10 meal!
The flaming cheese is my favorite appetizer!
I love this place! We have been driving from Howell to go here for the last 10 years. Nothing compares! This is true authentic Mexican with the Mexican prices!
"THE BEST" salsa and chips anywhere! Great food and service... and cheap prices!
Best Mexican food in Town. There Salsa is the best. Burritos with all the melted cheese awesome.
After moving to Florida, I can't find any Mexican Restaurants that serve anything close to what Xochimilco's does. Down here, you have to ask for melted cheese on enchiladas and then its usually cheddar. I get back to Mich. every two months and the first restaurant I go to is Xochi's. The Best!
Been eating here for years. The very best Mexico has to offer right here in Detroit
Been going here for years. Nobody In The World Comes Close To There Hot Chips And Salsa. They alone are worth the trip. Oh, By the way, Did I mention the have the best super nachos in the world.\
Been going here for years. I've been around the world and throughout the US and NOBODY BEATS THERE HOT NACHO CHIPS WITH SALSA HANDS DOWN! I go to other restaurants expecting the same and all I get is some chips straight out of a bag and some salsa that tasted like it came out the can. Oh, by the way, did I mention they have the best super nachos in the whole world. Thanks a bunch Janinne because if it hadn't been for you I wouldn't know about this place.
Have been going to Xochie's since it was literally a "hole in the wall" ~ 1972 ~ Came here from California and it is hard to find a good "real" Mexican food place.. This is it, they even catered my house warming party in '81... Owners Sally & Rudy are great, as is their staff... Can't say enough, & oh yes, let's not forget their margaritas.
They are the best.
They have the secret recipe for "Flaming Cheese", you haven't lived until you have feasted on this with HOT chips....
Then select from their menu, while you are waiting they serve you the best salsa ever with hot chips...
I have eaten at many Mexican restaurants, but they are the best from Michigan to Florida.
Hands down the best. Great (big) margaritas! Never a disappointment. I only WISH they had tamales on the menu !!! Great service too.
When we go to Xochimilco, the food is good and so is the service, the food taste more authentic then the other places out there.
Great authentic Mexican grub & a fun atmosphere to enjoy before or after a game.
Great food, great prices! The cleanest of all the restaurants in Mexican village.
! The beef fajitas-wow. the Mexican sandwich-great. the service is very good and know how to take care of you!
Xochimilco's is the best because their food is always hot, fresh and delicious. I make sure to take all my friends to this restaurant.
Traditional tasty Mexican, not Americanized...delicious drinks...perfect prices.
I have been a loyal patron for over 20 years! This is my favorite place to go for authentic Mexican food--not the "Americanized" food most chains try to pass off as Mexican. As a female of Puerto Rican descent, I am proud to support this PHENOMENAL restaurant!!!
I think I went there first when I was 8 years old. That was 27 years ago. One of the first and still the best
Not only do they have the best Mexican food, but they also have the best margaritas....mmmmmm!
