My close friend was getting married and asked if my daughter would serve as a junior bridesmaid. I was so thrilled. I found out that the bride chose her dress from La Reine Bridal. (I knew exactly where the store was because I had been to visiting hours for a funeral there some years ago.) The bride had heard of some bad customer service but she dealt with the owner, she said it was "okay " for her. The bridesmaid's dresses she chose did not have a junior bridesmaid dress. I called the store and spoke to "someone" to find out if I could come by just to look at it, so I could see the material. (I was not sure if I was going to have a dress made.) After a lot of discussion, I made an appointment just to look at ONE bridesmaid's dress, not even to try anything on. When I arrived, I had to park in the back by the dumpster, and walk to the old rickety steps of the "entrance". It was winter, and when a "consultant" opened the door, she spoke to us outside for 5 minutes trying to figure out why we were there, and wouldn't let us in. When I told her we had an appointment , she had no idea what I was talking about. My daughter was with me (age 8) and I was embarrassed. I had told her we were going to a fancy bridal store. Was I wrong! I was spoken to in such a rude manner, but I did not want to make a scene in front of my daughter. (We had a long talk in the car about it after.) After 10 minutes of standing in the entryway she brought out the dress. I just looked at the material, and held it up to my daughter. She looked so cute that I decided that I would order the smallest size and have it altered. They would not take my daughter's measurements in that 5 minutes because they didn't have time. I should come back . Yeah, right. I found another store in MA that sold that brand, called up and ordered it on the spot. La Reine lost the easiest $200 EVER! I went 30 miles out of my way just to AVOID them, and it was worth it.
The staff is unprofessional....I had 2 staff walk right into my dressing room while I was changing! The woman who was"helping" me gave me an attitude when I didn't like the dresses she was presenting to me...after 4 dresses the attendant was frustrated and basically wanted to end my session due to the feeling she was not going to make a sale that day...she very bluntly told me....to take her card, go on the internet find dresses that i like and then come back! WOW..thanks for the consultation! The feeling when my mother and i left was if you were not going to pay 5,000 for a gown you were treated poorly. To top things off the owner was sitting at the desk in the front and didn't even say good bye as we departed her shop!
quite possibly the WORST experience i've had shopping for wedding dresses!!!
my mom, sister, and i had an appointment at noon and arrived a few minutes early to find parking (which there was none). i left my mom and sister in the car (in 90+ degree heat) to run in and find out where we could park only to be totally ignored for 15 minutes until my mom came in the back entrance looking for me.
after we were told to block in their employees (who had all of the parking spots), we waited another 15 minutes for someone to get us in a room.
finally in the room, i was whisked away to get basic information on me as expected (what am i looking for, price range, etc.). i told them "nothing too extravagant, we're getting married on the beach, strapless, trumpet or a-line silhouette".
the owner, who was helping us, assured me that they take what the bride says, "very seriously" and promptly brought in a deep cut halter made of silk a la marilyn monroe's infamous white dress over the grate photo. she kept insisting that it was, "sexy...sexy for beach wedding" even after i told her no. she then proceeded to bring in dress after dress that were nothing like what i had described - VERY FRUSTRATING!!!
and while all of this was going on, her mother kept coming in and out of the room without knocking looking for her...many times walking in on me in the process of changing and just leaving the door open. she would stand there looking at me saying "pretty dress" when half the time i didn't even have one on. after this happened three times, her daughter was finally back and explained that her mother had alzheimer’s and was blind but still liked to see the brides...
i am all for family and helping our parents, but this was NOT the place for her to be wandering around in and out of dressing rooms while women were in the midst of changing!!!
i would NEVER recommend this store to anyone!!!
Loved my experience at La Reine, they were very easy to work with, Have an amazing collection and good prices, I was pleased and loved the gowns
Among all the bridal shops in Boston, I got the best treatment at La Reine Bridal . I love it!!
Kevin @ La Reine was amazing! I gave him a simple description of what i was looking for and within minutes he was back with 4 of the most beautiful dresses I had seen yet in my never-ending quest for the "perfect dress". The perfect dress, a few accessories and a veil later, I was on my way with everything I was looking for to complete my look! Kevin gave me his undivided attention the entire time and made the whole experience fun and memorable! He truly has an eye for fashion and what best suits each individual, a true fashion guru! Thanx Kevin!
LaReine Bridal Consultants are excellent in service and they are extremely polite and hardworking. I bought my gown at LaReine and could not happier!!!
The people at La Reine helped me find the perfect dress for my wedding. It was not like anything else I found in any other dress shop in Boston. It wasn't what I imagined wearing, but when I put it on, it was perfect. They have a knack for picking out the perfect dress based on the particular bride.
La Reine offers impeccable service. They also have so many dresses/styles to choose from and give you that personal attention to find the perfect dress. They also listen to your desires and find dresses to fit within your budget.
Their consultants were amazing. They made me feel like I was the only person they had to deal with all day. My bridal consultant picked out the perfect dress for me by simply asking me a few questions. They made the whole experience very memorable for me.
They have such a beautiful selection of dresses, but that is only complemented by the wonderful staff they have. They are always courteous and so helpful. They make the whole experience so much easier than you could imagine. No bridal nightmare for me!
Service and selection makes this the best bridal shop in the Boston area. Outstanding in every way.
Service is excellent and prices can't be beat. They also have a great inventory.
