The Swaggering Growlers

The Swaggerin' Growlers are a traditional Irish folk punk band based in Dover, New Hampshire and Boston, Mass. Infusing the spirit and the tradition of Irish session players with the fire, intensity, and heart of Boston Punk and Hardcore, and tempered with the earnestness and soul of American Folk, TSG have created an unforgetable musical juggernaut. Most often compared to the likes of the Pogues, Flogging Molly, The Tossers and The Dropkick Murphy's, but creating a sound all of their own, they stike to the heart of the New England music scene with an unparalled fury.

Swaggering growlers is the best band in the world and Bottle and the Bow is the best album I have ever heard in my entire life, I seriously fell in love with the album since day one.
I've met the band personally and they're just amazing people and their music is awesome good to drink to dance to and hang out listening to
They make me wanna dance when they play! And their cd totally rocks! How could such an Irish band not be a Boston favorite??
Because they sent me a CD to Australia via the UK from myspace.. they are nicest band... and I'm quite ofter looking at the world thru tired eyes....!
Not only are they amazing musicians, but amazing people too! I love this band! And their new CD is one of the best things I have ever heard!
The Growlers can fuse a traditional ballad with a spirited punk edge and deliver hard-stomping, strings-driven insanity. "Their traditional Irish Folk Punk" lyrics have an unexpected romance to them- the subjects is determined to face the end of the world, be it because of a broken heart or financial ruin, with a roar instead of a whimper. And they make a spirited case that the correct answer to all lifes troubles is another round, and maybe a spin (or a stumble) on the dance floor/ in the mosh pit, where a new love, or at least a brief escape from your troubles, is waiting- at least as long as the band holds out. The Swaggering Growlers create a wild, frenetic, energy that can't help but leave you happy until well after last call.
They make me wanna get up and make somethin' of my dancin' shoes. Plus they're the best feel-good band to listen to while I'm on the road.
Because they have a full spectrum, melodic sound. When you hear them play live, they sound so tight, like a well oiled machine. It's rare that you see a band who's members are so in sync with each other. I love them!
