East Coast Grill
The East Coast Grill opened its doors on August, 18, 1985. At that point it seemed a pretty risky venture. Although my partner, Cary Wheaton, and I had plenty of restaurant experience, we had no business experience. Restaurants have high failure rates and a lot of folks didn’t think Inman Square was that good of a location. And you know what? If I had known then, what I know now, I definitely would have talked us out of doing such a crazy thing – but we were young, fearless, and had a dream of opening a restaurant.

Your friendly neighborhood best freakin' restaurant in Boston! Good community members, quality (but not snobby) service, serious commitment to amazing and creative food. The best in town, hands down.
Excellent seafood, great drinks, fun atmosphere, friendly and knowledgeable staff---overall great place-- highly recommend!
For the guests that I want to experience real seafood in town, I take them instead to East Coast. Every meal I have had here has been sublime
The barbeque here is phenomenal. The service is always great and they have excellent cocktails at the bar.
I love the atmosphere here, and the food is simply amazing! My favorite is the Mahi Mahi dish with fried plantains, delicious!
