SkipJack's is a decent enough seafood joint in the Back Bay. It's not that I've ever had a bad meal there, but it has never stood out. The last time I went with a big group and there were oysters, shrimp cocktail and cherrystones being thrown around; even then, it wasn't that great.

They do have a great location off Boylston St., but ultimately, for the price I'd rather spend my money elsewhere.

So much better than the large seafood chain places. SkipJack's has local personality with great seafood.

I have been eating seafood at SkipJack's for twenty years... Their cajun slant to seafood is different and very good... I no longer live in Boston... But I tell everyone if you want seafood go to Boston and directly to there... I make a point of stopping in on my regular visits home...
