Boschetto Bakery was founded by two brothers, Andy and Larry Boschetto, on June 12, 1952. The bakery was also supported by the help of John and Joe Boschetto. Andy and his family have a long history in the bakery business, dating back to around 1900. Both of his parents were bakers. His father opened his first bakery on Salem Street in the Boston's North End. This was not Andy's passion back then. His father, however, made him work with the rest of the family at the bakery, even though "Sonny", as he was called, would hide out until summoned by his father. Around 1985-86 Andy Boschetto sold his bakery to the Marchionda family and they in turn sold the bakery to Joe Murphy on May 6, 2004. Joe will carry on with the famous cakes and pastries, but will be adding delicious artisan breads, prepared gourmet foods, European danishes and cookies, and also feature Green Mountain Coffee and Teas.

Their artisan breads are great ! The whipped cream cakes-strawberry and peach are out of this world ! Then there 's the Italian pastries , French Napoleons and cream puffs and on and on .....They also make their own frostings for their cakes.
