The Top of the Pontch, located on the 25th floor, offers you and your guests one of, if not the best view downtown has to offer. Our wedding packages have you in mind in making your event as stress free as possible. The hotel currently features 382 spacious and comfortable rooms, a restaurant, lounge, and meeting space capable of hosting up to 500 persons in the main ballroom and many more in an additional 8 break out rooms. The Pontchartrain is a landmark property with a rich and colorful history. It is situated on the exact site of the first settlement in Detroit , Historic Fort Pontchartrain built in 1701. The original Hotel and our hotel built in 1965 were the toast of Detroit in their respective day. To add to this glorious past and to provide the finest accommodations in Detroit ’s future we are currently undergoing a complete $12million renovation of the building from top to bottom. All sleeping rooms, baths, public areas, the restaurant, lounge, health club, pool and meeting space are being completely re-built, re-furnished and updated in anticipation of our exciting change to a major international hotel name in summer of 2007.
