Terramia Ristorante

The Scene: With only about a dozen tables, this popular Salem Street restaurant guarantees an intimate atmosphere, especially on weekends, when the place is packed and harried waiters struggle to recite the nightly specials over the noisy crowd. Still, gourmands and well-informed tourists put up with the prohibitive noise levels and cramped seating arrangements in order to enjoy some of the North End's most adventurous dining. With its soft lighting, stucco walls and beamed ceilings, the dining room sports a slightly rustic vibe. The Food: Chicken parm wishes and lasagna dreams are thwarted by Terramia's far-reaching, modern Italian menu--nowhere else in the neighborhood can diners enjoy an order of sweet lobster fritters with a tangy balsamic-honey glaze. The ever-changing menu incorporates seasonal vegetables and the catch of the day. Homemade pasta dishes feature unconventional preparation styles--ravioli is served open-faced, with scallops, shrimp and zucchini, in a lobster mascarpone sauce.

Great food, great service - Terramia is worth putting at the top of your list of places to go back to again and again
Our favorite restaurant! Delicious food always!! Gabriel and crew are wonderful people and servers! We always feel welcome there!!!!!!
I vote for Open Face Ravioli and Lobster Fritters, I vote for service and I vote for Terramia!
In all my years eating in and around Boston and suburbs, and my travel to many cities throughout the US, the experience at Terramia is always a surprise - they seem to do such an elegant and wonderfully tasty job at marrying different foods and textures together. I have always walked away with a delight in my stomach and a yearn for another visit - nothing has compared to their food, service and imagination - Hat's off to the chef and staff!
I just dined at Terramia based on another online review. They did a fine job. I was seated quickly, the service was courteous and attentive, and the meal was quite delicious.
Great Restaurant I'm glad I can vote for them. They make me feel like I'm part of their family.
Wonderful food, great service, very intimate place.
I received a card with my check asking me to make them no 1 :), good idea. Here I am!
I went to Terramia based on a friend referral and the deliver the best food I've had for long time.
Great service as well.
Thanks!
Gabriel & Jamie are a very unique wait staff that aims to please. Great teamwork. The food at Terramia is outstanding. Everything on the menu is a hit. A couple of recommendations would be to start with the lobster fritters - you'll be hooked or try the traditional antipasto that is always fresh & flavorful.
The entrees such as the "special" chillean sea bass melts in your mouth and the vongole is always one of my favorites. Visit Terramia and see for yourself why I believe it is the #1 restaurant in the North End.
This is the best Italian restaurant BY FAR!!!!...the others can ONLY IMITATE this great restaurant! Ciao!
Terramia Ristorante has the complete package. The food is always fresh & delicious, the atmosphere is cozy & romantic and the waitstaff - (Gabriel & Jayme) are friendly and professional.
Everytime I go to Terramia I know that I am going to get a gourmet meal with top shelf service, consistent every time. Satisfaction guaranteed! My favorite restaurant without a doubt. Thanks for all the memorable dinners and the one's to come!
The food is always superb--especially the calamari appetizer! The staff is happy, the service that rare combination of professional, friendly and unpretentious.
I was there when on vacation in Boston , it was wonderful, great food ,great service, wonderful atmosphere and staff
Fabulous food in a cozy atmosphere..one of the best Italian meals that I've had in Boston
The best italian food in the country. I am from Chicago, but Terra Mia is hands down the best. Wonderful atmosphere makes the dining experience superb. However, the number one reason they are the best is the staff. They became friends after our first experience. It is the only place I "have" to go to every time I am in Boston.
My husband and I ate at your restaurant last summer for our anniversary and we thought the food, wine, and service were excellent. We're looking forward to coming back this Spring or summer. We really loved it.
The service is incredible and the staff is so nice. The food is so unique compared to the rest of the Italian food in the city. There is truly no other place like it.
I have eaten in various restaurants in the North End over the years. We come back to Terramia again and again. The flavors and smells are absolutely divine -molto buene!
This is the best Italian food I have ever had in America and every time we have a special occasion we book Terramia right away.
It's the restaurant we go to the night before Head Of The Charles with our daughter - her team has placed in the top 5 each year!
I give Terramia Ristorante atmosphere, service and food A+. We were extremely
content and have nothing negative about you! GREAT PLACE to eat and socialize!
If I were on a desert island and could only have one food for the rest of my life, it would be the lobster fritters at Terramia. Or maybe the giant open-faced ravioli. Or maybe...
The food is always beautifully and creatively prepared, with fresh, tasty ingredients. A bit pricey, so it's a "special treat" place for us, but we've never been disappointed.
You can wander into just about any mom-and-pop restaurant in the North End and get a good meal. If you're feeling adventurous, try Terramia Ristorante, a small trattoria that servers Italian classics with a modern twist. For a taste of both Boston and Italy, order the raviolini aperto - handmade ravioli served with shrimp, zucchini, and sea scallops in a lobster mascarpone cream.
