Johnny D's is a Boston institution owned and operated by the DeLellis family for 36 years. On any given night you may see Cajun fiddle masters from Louisiana, British folk stars, or some of Boston's finest rockers. Over the years we have had an almost endless list of the best touring acts in the country - just about anyone who would fit in a 300-capacity room has played here at one time or another, including the greatest names from the jazz, blues (we won the coveted "Keeping the Blues Alive" award from the Memphis Blues Foundation), folk, rock, and international music scene.

A family-run business means that this place is top notch with an eclectic collection of real jazz and blues that is unparalleled by any other jazz club in the state whether it be the food, the drink, the atmosphere, the patrons or the management and staff!!
best blues jam in town - friendly place for players of all levels
Johnny D's consistently books all kinds of music- their commitment to music is great. And, this is one music club that really does have great food to boot.
Cooooold Beer, there are always at least 2 excellent major bands there a month, and Beetlejuice. Intimate setting where you can get dinner and a show. You have to know about Johnnie Ds' to be able to get the full advantages, that's the cold hard facts. I wouldn't want it any other way.
Great food, terrific musicians and I can watch the Red Sox over my shoulder while I listen to the music! What could be better?
Johnny D's has fabulous musicians. It's friendly, comfortable, has good mix of types of music, good mix of ages in audience, the food is great, they support good causes, have good beer selection, and they are good neighbors.
The all ages crowd is unique, making them them the most welcoming place in the Boston area. The variety of great music, good food and all affordable.
The best food! The best music! The best atmosphere! Reasonable prices! And, by far, the most fun!
We love Johnny D's, it's just the right cozy size to really hear and enjoy the wonderful variety of music that they bring in, we especially enjoy the Blue's shows and never miss an opportunity to see Junior Brown. The location is great, the parking is ample, the staff is friendly and accomodating and the food is fantastic! Can't understand why your not getting more votes for one of the best places around Boston to catch live music.
Its just a fantastic place to have dinner and see a show. lots of nice people to assist you, and they always seem to have a smile on there faces.
The gigs are always quality music. You don't have to check the marquee to see who's playing, because who ever is playing they'll be good.
It is the best place! The music is fun and eclectic.
