Named 'Best Steakhouse' by Boston Magazine, The Oak Room and the adjacent Oak Bar are two of the most elegant rooms in the city. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the Oak Room is a regal, comfortably elegant restaurant that offers a traditional steakhouse menu with a distinctive twist. The Oak Room is adorned with gold, maroon and green fabrics and draperies that complement the dark wood paneling and mirrored walls. Cameos and lacunaria accent the intricate white plasterwork that details the 30-foot-high ceiling and twin Waterford crystal chandeliers illuminate the room.

The oak room personifies all that is a steakhouse - dead animals on the walls and on the plates - knowledgable service and highly skilled chefs - another point is hosts and management who know how to utilize and remember names and visit the table each time i dine - the oak room is second to none
There is no where else like it in the city or anywhere for that matter! The Oak Room has the best steaks and the service is spectacular.
At all the other chains you could be eating in Minneapolis or San Diego and it would be exactly the same. When you sit down at the Oak Room, you can feel Boston all around you!
I went to the OaK Room For my B-Day and the the Filiet Mignon, was excellent. I vote this the #1 Steakhouse.

They have the best steak quality and the best sever. The portion sizes are very substantial.
The steak here is out of this world. Amazing steak with simple and delicious side dishes make this Boston's best steakhouse. I don't need outrageous flavors to compete with the taste of a great steak. They treat every guest like royalty, which is a nice treat, and the ambiance is warm and decadent.

It is the most beautiful dining room in the city. It does not matter how busy it is, you can still have a conversation without yelling or raising your voice. Food is amazing and service is great. They treat you like royalty.
